Pompey Mick Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 My Club will be buying ETS for the members and they will be receiving their systems shortly. As we are all ETS novices can any members post photos of their ETS trapping set-ups, or give me information of the availability of ready-made traps, so I can distribute examples to my members so they can prepare for next year's racing.
Taylorsloft Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 here are some photos of my ets traps[/img]
Roundo Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 Pompey Mick, If you have a look on my own website 'Loft Setup', you'll see how my traps are situated. Roundo.
EAGLEOWL Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 have a look at murrayandmills.co.uk he sells the lot including the super maxxus ideal for the new electronic timing system ets
PIGEON_MAN Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 Mick,A lot depends on what type of ETS system you will be getting because all the anntenna pads come in differant sizes which i,m sure that you are allready aware of,If you can get a Murray and Mills catalogue they do a ready made all alluminium sputnik on the back called the Super Maxxus which is a very nice piece of kit but the cheapest is £138,even with this one though you have to do a bit of work on it so that the pad fits underneath the piece of landing board which is inside the trap. This was the only ready made trap I could find when I bought my ETS.I did actually buy one of this type and then on my old speedtrap I sort of copied the way this one was set up.
EAGLEOWL Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 ive seen john murray on youtube showing you the ets system how it works etc someone might have a link for it . hope this helps

I've got a club meeting tomorrow when there will be a Unikon demo and the members would appreciate an insight on what they have to do. Thanks to everyone for their replies.
Guest karl adams Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 the traps ive seen for sale seem a bit to small so i built my own and they are made so the ets will fit if i were to use it

swilcox Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 Sorry Mick not at the moment as i have done a deal with a top Loft builder and at this stage we dont want it copied. Stuart
THE FIFER Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 mick when we got our demo from unikon they brought along a sputnick showing the different ways to set it up, they will give u all the info and different ways, i have mine fitted to an ordinary stall trap, instead of having the rtap outside the loft as usualy, u just push it in so the board they drop on is inside the loft, and u have the antina fitted under this. its just the landing board u have outside the loft.
Guest Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 I have Open Door - only one way in & out of my loft - birds land on floor in front of ETS trap, the middle of 3 traps: Left winter hens / Middle ETS / Right winter cocks. ETS is open Feb - Sep and closed off in winter, as shown. Other two are closed off Feb - Sep.
