DOVEScot Posted October 19, 2007 Author Report Posted October 19, 2007 Yes totally agree with you, last time I saw the squirrel I squirted it with the water spray. It didn't show face for a few days after that, but we now see it crossing over the trees. Well now they will be totally discouraged "as cute as they are" ;)
chickadee Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 Well now they will be totally discouraged "as cute as they are" ;) Well here's hopeing anyway, but, I think they will be back before long, but, we're ready for them this time as we have made the lofts even harder to get in, GOD IT'S LIKE FORT KNOCKS TRYING TAE GET IN TAE FEED THE BIRDS NOW..... ;D ;D ;D ;D
Roland Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 Think a squirrel is a basic rodent which will eat anything it comes across. Tons of them around here especially in Callender Park [where constant fights with crows over the food scraps] seen odd one walking along my fence [no more] and once on loft roof when the birds were out - certainly gave me a start when it popped its head over the roof apex. Greys are classed as vermin and cause reds grief, reds are endangered and a protected species, so don't go making pate or sarnys out of them Squirrels are RODENTS and classed as Vermin, which of course they are. They adapt to eat anything, and are great little scappers. My mates terrier - who's a game keeper - has more scars and hard fights with them than anything. Scarred to bits.
