I'VE GOT AN OLD STB THAT MY UNCLE BOUGHT NEW IN 1978 AND IT NEVER LOSES MORE THEN 10 SECS ANY TIME IT'S USED IN A RACE (IN FACT KELLY TOM PROBABLY USED TO SET IT YEARS AGO ;) )

I'd go for a T3, much bigger thimble drum and you can view all the times at any time. The STB has only a small window which shows the last time clocked.

With the ETS systems becoming more popular by the day the price of T3s are falling. Wait until after Blackpool when there could be a spurt on ETS buying, which could see more secondhand clocks on the market.

When first started up many moons ago, used a skymaster printer; then a toulet puncture.

 

Restarted with a STB Quartz, now use Unikon ETS.

my new club all have t3s paid for by a grant [never used one before when i start racing lets hope i get a chance!!!]

i have 2 quarts stb's and 1 stb 32 bird master timer wind up , 1 stb 12 bird wind up

is there any difference between a wind up or a quarts,is one any better

 

 

the only thing with a wind up is if u are in a 2 day race etc it could wind down, if not properly wound up. also they are limited to how long they go on a wind-up. i have a ets. benzing brown case and a stb digital red case.
