DOVEScot Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 Yes i do Dovescot, hence the reason why i try and pull my wieght? so tell me what members have been let down?? the rules quit clearly stated 8.00pm. Are you one of these finger pointers??? who only want to be critical?? Are you saying members like me who do not do what you do, are not weight pullers No, I am freinds with both Ferry and Renbrant2coo, but a few members were invovled in the bidding, and a few not knowing who won was the main issue raised. even moderators were not sure who won When auctioning birds reaching the hundreds of pounds then it is you that should be critical, especially when it is so tight at the end. And if not be prepared to be criticised
ch pied Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 hi all , its over the higest bid won , good for the site , better luck next year. wasen't it fun
harky Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 well done to the bidders and the winner pigeon basics best excitement theres been on here in ages
THE FIFER Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 if you go onto the auction site and look at the WEBSITE FUNDS AUCTION
harky Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 if you go onto the auction site and look at the WEBSITE FUNDS AUCTION< you will see where the auction was to finnish on the sunday at 8pm, but if there were still bidding going on any of the lots 10mins gets added and does so until the bidding is finnished, have you ever seen bidding being stopped when bidding is still in force, if 2 people are bidding you must always give them a chance to come in with a bid, you cant just put the hammer down you must give a chance to come back, hence the 10 mins after time up if bidding is going on at this time, but well done swilcox its good for the site getting some funds in, never a truer word said fifer the rpra auction of there one loft race birds is run this way ,

No argument now on this one, but at least the next one should be a lot clearer by stating rules at the start or questions raised well before the tailend :-/
THE FIFER Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 never a truer word said fifer the rpra auction of there one loft race birds is run this way , all auctions are, you cant stop a auction when people are still bidding, if 2 people are bidding and one bids you must give the other bidder a chance to come in, or anyone else for that matter,
THE FIFER Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 No argument now on this one, but at least the next one should be a lot clearer by stating rules at the start or questions raised well before the tailend :-/ yes agree would make things easyer, but as said you cant just put the hammer down when bidding is still going on.
DOVEScot Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 all auctions are, you cant stop a auction when people are still bidding, if 2 people are bidding and one bids you must give the other bidder a chance to come in, or anyone else for that matter, Not all auctions are Fifer, but maybe the webmaster could make it that all site actions are run this way, then no confussion in the future :-/
THE FIFER Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 Not all auctions are Fifer, but maybe the webmaster could make it that all site actions are run this way, then no confussion in the future :-/ you could be right but i have never seen an auction being stopped when bidding is still going on ,
THE FIFER Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 Well done to stuart and to donating the money to the site if the people who were bidding havent got a problem dont see why any one else should have we should just be grateful for people like stuart who does something like this and helps keep the site going yes ur right rose, well said.
ch pied Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 no prob's here, good job the other half was watching x factor , or i would have been in deep sh*t . :D :D
Guest Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 Well done to stuart and to donating the money to the site if the people who were bidding havent got a problem dont see why any one else should have we should just be grateful for people like stuart who does something like this and helps keep the site going i think the same rose but i dont think anyone was being ungrateful, they were just concerned all was going to plan and just an missunderstanding of the rule concerning end of time of bidding.ie 8pm...i think in future all will know that this will happen or not. well done to all who bid and well done to the winning bidder and a big thankyou to stu and ...oh well everyone ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
birdman4610 Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 IF FERRY IS THE WINNER WELL DONE BRO THE NEST BOX IS ALL WARMED UP ;D ;D
Webmaster Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 The highest bid at 7.59 was £235 by ferry so i dont believe there is any arguement. £235 was the last bid in the time alotted for the auction. Do everyone agree? The last post before 8pm was Ferry; reply 57 at: 19:59:50
