Lennut Tar Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 "EAGLEOWL". Nice bike etc, ;) must be one big happy family at your place, from where I sit here & imagine all things bright & beautiful as they say ;D ;D ;D. "Dogeon" if you are not having any success with what you are using for the rats etc. Try the anti freeze like Roland suggests, & it's also cheap. I've been using it for years but I just soak bread in it & throw it under the lofts where no other animals or birds can get at it etc. PS, give it a few days between each baiting to allow it to do its business. Enjoy.
DOVEScot Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 ;D ;D ;D you can tell im female NEVER!!!!

Guest Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 the only real good bait is the stuff that agricultural stores do,most others sell cheap weak immitations. tell them uve tried baiting with normal bait...they will put u onto summut worth spending ur money on. i use a round candle like bait.its about 3 inch round with a hole through it. its red and its brill...best ive used..had trouble 3 days and i had no signs that they were here,i live near fields and im bound to have one lurking now and again...paul midland shire farmers ,usually have decent stuff there...a big tub for about £12-15.

Guest Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 ive been baiting for 7 days now with Neosorexa poison and there still taking it 20 bags a night, i do live at the back of a farm so dont help and sat up for days with lead thought about getting the 12 out but i have got some neighbours and i dont think they would apretiate it That is an Environmental Health issue. It is beyond your responsibility and numbers are are outwith your means of control. Get the Local Council in. They have the staff, they have the correct resources and they have the legal clout to get it sorted - quick.
REDCHEQHEN Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 That is an environmental health issue. Beyond your responsibility and control. Get the Local Council in. And if its anything like our council - they'll bill you for it as well if its a private house
Guest Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 And if its anything like our council - they'll bill you for it as well if its a private house Problem is coming from outwith the boundary, and in serious numbers too by the sounds of things. They are legally obliged to act, and act quickly in the face of an obvious serious infestation.

REDCHEQHEN Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 There is a serious rat problem everywhere you go bruno - that are not being dealt with by councils - I have seen rats running across the road in towns in broad daylight :-/ thanfully not MY town - but it makes you wonder :o
Guest Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 Know what you are both saying, but a few rats isn't an infestation. The poison is being gobbled up at an alarming rate which is a clue that there's maybe more than a few - a few hundred - there, and as its still being taken at the same rate, the job is certainly not done so phone them tomorrow with an update. This is my own Unitary Council's webpage on pest control:- http://www.falkirk.gov.uk/services/corporate_commercial/estates_management/pest_control/pest_control.aspx

EAGLEOWL Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 State-of-the-art 'smart' electronics control this unique device. When a rat enters the electronic rat killer to reach the bait, it reaches a point where it touches both killing plates and completes an electrical circuit, which kills the rat in seconds. Because of the open design to suit rats rather than mice, the rat killer is intended for use by professional pest controllers and agricultural workers.
