great idea mate im up for this all we need now is selected panel of judges ?

Can be done without the need of a panel by using a Co-efficient over a set number of races.

 

A formula is used to give the birds a coefficient number, this is formulated by multiplying the position taken in the race by 1,000, this is then divided by the number of birds competing in the race.

 

Example; 3rd place in a race with 3978 birds competing is worked out as follows; 3 X 1,000 = 3,000 , divided by the birds in the race 3,978 = .754. This pigeon would have a coefficient of .754 for that one race. Each coefficient for each qualifying race is then added together to give an overall figure.

I think it would be impossible to get something that involved everyone, maybe different sections to suit groups, what about a banter contest :D

A race would not involve every member as some of us are pigeon fanciers. ;D

 

If it was to be a race !!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D  it would have to be a super marathon one, :P & some would have to like, a lot of water etc to fly over. If we all were to be eligible.

PS I do not have a problem flying each year 200 miles + across water etc   ;) .

But the above, might  just be a touch  ;D ;D ;D to far !!!!!!! for me at least, & I like to think. That  I have distance pigeons.
