as you all know ive been against ets, but also most of you know that i have a bad back injury and its getting no better, i find it hard these days around the loft so i have to make things as easy as i can, so i think i need a ets this coming season to alow me continue to race my birds. i was going to give the sport up, but my wife has paid for my lofts to convirted so i can move around them with more comfort to my back. and now she wants to buy me  a ets so anyone know the best place to get a ets from and how to contact them

thanks

manny type's on the market at the moment , do your home work, i myself have the unicon system, look at them all , go for the one that suit's your need's,  no need to get carried away, have a good look at the benzine system

from boddey%ridewood, all the best

I would say go for Unikon in your case, if you get the pocket clock there's no wires to disconnect when you go to the club. With the other systems you have to unscrew a plug and some are faffy. You can put the Unikon in the loft in April and leave it running until September.

TALK TO YOUR RACE SECRATARY we use benzing and unikon in our club there is a lot less things that can go wrong in the unikon system they are making the new benzing that will do a LOT of things but your club probably isnt set up to use the full capability of the benzing

If you are as badly injured as you say pack the birds up you can't do them justice.

What sort of advice is that? Pigeon Racing is one of the few sports where physical disabilities can be successfully overcome. I suppose you would have given Jed Jackson the same advice.

ETS is playing a part in bringing the less physically adept amongst us onto a more equal footing and keeping fanciers in the sport.

my wife has spent lots of money on my lofts so i can exit them more easly and the ets also will help me. i can etend my birds now as well as you can, so called me over the years we have  been working hard to bring our sport to anyone young, old.disabled, then you say somthing like that maybe so called me you should leave the sport if you think its only a sport for thoes who are in full health.

i know of a deaf guy who keeps pigeons also i have read in the hw that a blind guy somewhere keeps them so this so called me as far as you are concerned these guys should get rid coz they can see or hear the birds this has made me realy mad. the mods of this site should send people like this a warning as they are knocking our sport

The birds are important nothing else pay attention and you might learn something more sensible about the doos than just "shouting" obscenities at other forum members.

Jed Jackson was more of a dooman than 99.9% of the members of this forum could ever hope to be. Please don't put your "words" in "my mouth", I will tell you what I think and what my opinion is about any particular subject your "help" is not required.

If someone is unable to or unconcerned enough to look after the birds properly is my only stipulation and speaking as someone with back and chest problems and with a family member who has a disability I am geart sick of hearing people using "health problems" as an excuse for using ETS. If you ain't got the "sphericals"to say "I am using Ets because I want to" , then really, what is the point?

Mark:  I think it's great that you have a soul mate to help you!!!  I also think it's great that you are trying!!!  About the ETS sys.  I've said before check to see what brand sys. your club is set up for!!!  They are not inter-changeable.   One uses different software than the other, etc, also chip rings!!  So check and see.  I'm in a bad straight now myself  starting to expand my loft tomorrow but have a real bad knee don.t know what's wrong so I may have to but a shed them retro fit the avairy and the insides and trapping sys for countermarking!!!   Good luck   PS the ets sys. are a real easy sys.  and my mentor has the Unikon and it is simple!!!    jimbobboy USA

I find it quite   :(  that in this day & age that we live now, someone wquld make such  a comment like (quote =422) in fact I'm  :o to think, that there are those people that think that people with a disability of any kind. Could not find some pleasure & enjoyment no matter how small it may be, from keeping pigeons of any description. Plus all the other advantages etc for them, & the pigeons concerned. Even if not quite kept, to the same high standards at times for the pigeons, which many believe they should be housed & treated in.

I have know doubt many  ;D ;D ;D &  :D :D :D would come from such an experience for the lucky ones, who attempted to join our great sport with a disability, if it was made easier for them to join.

PS. I think, E-clocks !!!!!!!!, could help solve many of the issues for the people concerned in this area.

Enjoy.
