just ask me Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 lads just to say im farilly sure ill be leaveing the sport this year due to bad sportmanship only back raceing 3 year and still same problems in the sport some pll cant seem to understand that pll that win put a lot of work in just not injoying the game any more makes me really mad as i injoy the time with the birds hear pll talking about ets killing our sport but some fanicers have to have a seroius look at them selves.
invalidusername Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 Anyone leaving the sport is a total loss. And I'm not even in the sport!! If you have an affinity with your birds (which you must do), try to ignore the human politics and keep on going
just ask me Posted May 9, 2008 Author Report Posted May 9, 2008 hard to do 3 clubs in my town and travelling 35 mile to mark my birds and just the start and belive me i have never caused any trouble i keep my head down let my birds to do the talking
invalidusername Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 Let 'em carry on doing the talking. People say the sport is dying. Please don't help it on its way. Your experience cannot be replaced.
just ask me Posted May 9, 2008 Author Report Posted May 9, 2008 its more than talking found corn in my yard with white podwer on it and the type corn that it was i dont use that just a start
Lennut Tar Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 lads just to say im farilly sure ill be leaveing the sport this year due to bad sportmanship only back raceing 3 year and still same problems in the sport some pll cant seem to understand that pll that win put a lot of work in just not injoying the game any more makes me really mad as i injoy the time with the birds hear pll talking about ets killing our sport but some fanicers have to have a seroius look at them selves. It is always when you read something like this etc for our sport, but always remember now !!!!!!!. You do not have to race them or even be a member of a club, shall we say. To still have that enjoyment & pleasure, of looking after your own birds in your own back yard, so to speak, & then you do not have to worry about all that pettiness & pigeon politics, which is rife unfortunately, as as it is. Enjoy.
invalidusername Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 its more than talking found corn in my yard with white podwer on it and the type corn that it was i dont use that just a start That sounds awful. I worry if a cat is in the vicinity! I've heard of some terrible things in the sport caused by jealousy/threat, but have never experienced it. Edit: Lennut - wish I'd said that !!

Enjoy. yes but im work 12 hour shifs family hard to travell 60 mile round trip to mark birds and then go back with your clock also wife said they are makeing smart comments to her and i have a short temper and is pigeons worth all this like if my pigens had of eat that corn i would have cracked and bringing womenn into it what sort of pll are around i send my birds for the race thi weekend and probally wont even clock i know in other areas around me the problem not as bad as this for the main winners seems to be a bad town i live in
Guest chrisss Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 i have never had that problem [i might not ever] but to my mind if you do not clock, the wxxxxxx have won,as for your good lady wife,in your position i would [on a personal level] punch their faces through the back of their heads, can you just fly national races,or bypass the club all together [see what i know about racing!!!!]i think lennut is right about one thing, keep your birds even if you give up racing for a while, you might want to race again
doo Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 Personally I would say that you must be doing something right if they are being bad sport ....it would be worse if you were winning *expletive removed* all & you were everyones pal .....stuff that for a carry on.
just ask me Posted May 10, 2008 Author Report Posted May 10, 2008 i have never had that problem [i might not ever] but to my mind if you do not clock, the wxxxxxx have won,as for your good lady wife,in your position i would [on a personal level] punch their faces through the back of their heads, can you just fly national races,or bypass the club all together [see what i know about racing!!!!]i think lennut is right about one thing, keep your birds even if you give up racing for a while, you might want to race again chriss easy to say but i know if i stared on these guys they are a crowd of s***bags dont think i would stop and then u would have the police involved and if u tell them u smashed there heads in over pigeons u can only imagine the response from them as u well probally know the opinion of the normal non fancier is that we have a bunch of rats and i dont feel like doing a term at the moment doesnt kind of suit my time schedule right now lol only messin but if u dont have your sense of humour left what do u have i just dont understand i remember the last time i was in pigeons the top flyer in my area was a top class flyer it took me years to try beat him on a reguallar basis i kept gettin better birds tried different feeding diff management and when that didnt work i tried harder now we have pl that want to put u down with a stick clubs in my area u have to be invited in in which i think should be banned from the sport and what i cant understand in what ever organistion we are flying in are leaving these clubs do this as a old club that was in my area for donkey years closed down so that these pll could open a invitation club its a sad situation really us as pigeon fanicers have falcons sparrowhawks wires weather falling memberships to name just a few of our biggest problems but it seems to me in some cases our biggest problem is small minded pll that in our game i was in dogs for a while while it was very competitive coudent see anyone feeding my dogs some s*** and these pll are up in front of my organisation a few times no bans no nottin sickens me i dont want to see anyone out of pigeons but i feel to put a stop to politics and backstabbing in our sport there needs to be a example set like i seen 2 of my young birds the other day( i breed late) go into a neighbors loft and he told me that they didnt in the club i mark the birds in now the banter the laughs are great but a 60 mile round trip twice week and ure waiting on birds the weekend and the familly want to go some where for the day ahh its a bit much sorry about this lads and ladies just needed a bit of a moan but in really pissed off to say the least
Lennut Tar Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 sorry about this lads and ladies just needed a bit of a moan but in really pissed off to say the least Well !!!!!! Just as well you told us ;) we would never have guessed in a million years ;D ;D ;D. My advise now is !!!!!!!!!, breed Peregrines & train them on a saturday afternoon. That should keep all your mates ?????????????????????? :) happy in your local club etc. Enjoy.
Merlin Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 Dont let the B;;;;;;S grind you down,if I ever wanted to leave racing pigeons,it would be on my terms,my reasons, not because low lifes chose it for me,and during the years, have also had lots of hassle.
Mixxy Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 you pack up they win, you lose, and you dont sound like a loser.i have had it all poisoned fire ferrets but i come back stronger every time and will never bow to them.
jimmy white Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 lads just to say im farilly sure ill be leaveing the sport this year due to bad sportmanship only back raceing 3 year and still same problems in the sport some pll cant seem to understand that pll that win put a lot of work in just not injoying the game any more makes me really mad as i injoy the time with the birds hear pll talking about ets killing our sport but some fanicers have to have a seroius look at them selves. i feel for you mate , but i hope you keep racing, i agree with you, its not the ets thats ruining the sport of racing pigeons, but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the fanciers themselves ,,,lucky their a minority, but as you say some should have a good look in the mirror, and be completely honest with them selves, the ironic thing is the good ones are the best in the world
mitch Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 there is a lot of jelous people in the sport mate who put no work into them and dont spend a penny, forget them , they are not worth bothering about, Just keep your name at the top ,you will no who your friends are at the end of the day All The Best
ch pied Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 mate you work hard at your bird's you get result's , the knockers and sh*t bag's dont put the same time , and they are sucking the hind tit , as for the low dirty trick with the corn , get a cheapo cctv system , to cover loft's and garden , then when you know who they are , brake their f*****g leg's, good luck
Guest shadow Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 I packed in with my birds 18 months ago mainly through ill heath but all the backstabbing that went on in the local clubs also helped to make up my mind. I missed them at first but can now say it was the best thing I did after 25 years of being tied to the birds, good luck whatever you decide to do
