Guest bigda Posted July 3, 2008 Report Posted July 3, 2008 prize money and pools bigda are compatible and pro rata to other national races. the fact that a solid gold medal is presented to the winner each year to keep makes this a top notch event. the medal has a substantial cash value being made of high grade and quality gold. well done again you have driven the nail well home i think your are the only club that has given a gold medal when still in your infancy
andy Posted July 3, 2008 Report Posted July 3, 2008 Well done to Stuart Mullan on winning and all who timed. Fantastic racing by Peter Virtue, tops in the country this last few years along with Richard Combe at 500 plus miles.

Guest bigda Posted July 3, 2008 Report Posted July 3, 2008 the only problem with the result i can see is to wait 30+ and know there is still pool avalable. 8)
johno Posted July 4, 2008 Report Posted July 4, 2008 not a problem with the result problem with no poolers in clocks. not unusual in many distance races.
Guest bigda Posted July 4, 2008 Report Posted July 4, 2008 not a problem with the result problem with no pools in clocks. not unusual in many distance races. most distance races have a cut of time and the majority of fanciers don't know if there is pools still up for grabs unless inside info ! and normally the pools are not claimed just a thought that was strange, never seen that before especially with the race been so hard, whats is the time bar for your race
Guest bigda Posted July 4, 2008 Report Posted July 4, 2008 400 yards per minute. when dose the count down begin after liberation, the first bird timed or have the clocks to be regulated again as surley 36+ hrs is over the top
johno Posted July 4, 2008 Report Posted July 4, 2008 the time begins when liberation happens. speed determines the end. distance divided by time. regulating clocks has nothing to do with the calculation.
Guest bigda Posted July 4, 2008 Report Posted July 4, 2008 the time begins when liberation happens. speed determines the end. distance divided by time. regulating clocks has nothing to do with the calculation. is your hours of darkness 11-5am per day as the birds flewsay 10 and a half hrs the first day open the seconday winner in at 9- 25 something 15 hrs on wing but do hours of darkness come into play the next day
