Guest strapper Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 why are some threads still on the main page on this site while others are moved? im reffering to the one that has asked wot thread to use to stitch up a hawked bird?...removed. while there are threads about birthdays and rings and courriers still there? now im not trying to be argumentive but cmon lets have it fair ,i think personally that the thread about stitching up a bird is pigeon related but some other threads are not and are still on . thanks anyway. im not picking on anyones threads for personel reasons just picking threads in general.

Hi Strapper. they are both still there. Are you clicking on latest posts under "articles" top left hand side? They stay there as long as people reply.
Guest strapper Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 well the thread was health related so moved to that board and still easily accessed fair enough but dont u think that other threads on the main pain should have been moved to relevent boards too?
grizzle_hen Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 you'll find that some threads get moved to their relevant board, and most of the time a re-direct should be left. Also it makes it easier future reference if say health related topics are on the health board
OLDYELLOW Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 Richard does most of the moving and trys to keep up and im sure he will when he has the time

We try an keep things organised. There are boards for nearly any conceivable topic, but still 80+% of topics get posted to the 'Notice Board'. Sometimes we let these run, or run until they get an answer. We'd like everyone to post their topics to the right boards but realise that that isnt always going to happen. So we try and re-home them when we see them, but we also dont want to overwhelm the Notice Board with redirect links (which get a similar reaction as is here).
Guest strapper Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 NOW YOU ARE BEING PICKY MATE!!! sorry have i come up against the sites mafia?

PigeonTracker Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 We try an keep things organised. There are boards for nearly any conceivable topic, but still 80+% of topics get posted to the 'Notice Board'. Sometimes we let these run, or run until they get an answer. Its not for me to tell you where to order things but from feedback from people on the road is they tend to read but not post, the fact the main posts are on the notice board are hot topics they want to read about is a good thing and being honest this is one of the better forum scripts I've seen as it makes it easy to see what's hot and what's not. As strange as this sounds there are a lot of people out there who would not know how to, or even want to search a forum so if the topic is in thier face right from the off then your going to keep them coming back for more each time. Probably why in my opinion this forum is the best out barring none. Jamie
