Guest strapper Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 too much protein will be stored as fat,, ie..protein can but turned into fat but fat cant be turned into protein. protein is very good for repairing broken or weak muscles. i give lots of peanuts every day(when racing) , when the birds come in from loft or training toss they get peanuts, thrown down b4 them. peanuts will make ur birds more tame towards you and it will make them more contented to return home. my best racing hen (now dead) was actually called peanut for her mad obsession towards them. she would return from training or racing and jump up onto my arm for a peanut.
wilkins Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 i use the powder and not the added fats early in the week, i use fat late in the week as peanuts are high in fat as well as protein
Guest Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 yes fat is essential for birds body fat thats what a distance bird uses last of all thats why when its very hard the bird comes home down in body
wilkins Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 i like the energy fat mix that vesalaga sell , plenty of sunflower in it

wilkins Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 your right tony 45% thats high soya has 18% fat wilkins thats high aswell is that in the soya bean or the powder, the holland and barret powder not the bean or milk is what i use
wilkins Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 frank have alook at hollandandbarrett.com search soya powder the search is top left then look at the powder on the left when they come up superior in protein nutrition and amino acids , low in carbohydrate and fat
