superstar Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 With no reserve price bird is yours for whatever you bid simple as that. I'd like to know who and where though sounds like they are to be avoided
OLDYELLOW Posted November 5, 2008 Author Report Posted November 5, 2008 i've looked at hundred of birds on this site this was my first time using the site but joined ages ago just incase i fancied something , i heard storys before but this confirmed them as true in my mind

It's not as if your spreading malicious rumours. You are stating provable facts. Nobody will sue you for that!
Guest strapper Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 i think that this is disgracful that a legal bid has been neglected and the bird gone elsewhere. i would state the site to members to let know how this has arisen and to watch out . if this has happened then as stated b4 me.. facts, so unless a legal case is abound then you cant be done for slander or nowt. all the best anyway...paul.

OLDYELLOW Posted November 5, 2008 Author Report Posted November 5, 2008 Thank you for your message. The RPRA is primarily concerned with the sport of racing and showing homing pigeons. On the face of it, your complaint is about a commercial transaction involving a private sale/auction. If you cannot get satisfaction from the auctioneer then you might want to consult Trading Standards in your local area or the citizens’ advice bureau. However, in my experience these disputes are best resolved between the parties. I hope that this is helpful. David Bills General Manager
OLDYELLOW Posted November 5, 2008 Author Report Posted November 5, 2008 what are we paying our fees for these con men do as they want and they let them get away with it
pjc Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 just nearly choaked on my cuppa reading that reply from RPRA! He clearly is just going to be another yes man with no balls! I would guess that the aution site is probably run by an RPRA member so I would also take this case, not only to trading standards but also the the union as this would come under ungentlemanly conduct. Phil
