Guest strapper Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 i read in the bhw that the brill flyers brownlee, nee, sons and ward are about to sell all their birds. the owners of the land they have their lofts on are wanting the land back. i bought a pair of good staff van reets(welsh show) off c + p nee(pictured some of their birds on page 15 of the bhw)olympiad. i believe these are related to this partnership. if the cockbird i had off carl and peter is anything to go by, i bet the birds that will be for sale will be crackers. its a pity when fanciers of this high standard (brownlee, nee.sons and ward)are forced to sell up. i wish them all the best.

Silverdale Lofts Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Theres sales have already started in Ireland they will be having 6 sales the last one Blackpool show weekend Ive never seen so many sales in Ireland
Guest strapper Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 dunno...maybe there is no land availible or costs too much for the size of their lofts and stuff.

Guest strapper Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 its all in the wording...if its a clearance sale they can , but if they state its an entire clearance they cant.
Beanz Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 I bought 2 at their sale in Blackpool in 2007 bred 2 off them in 2007, one won 3rd club 3rd Fed beaten by 2 loftmates also 3rd club 8th fed the other was 2nd club beaten by loftmate 17th fed and 1st club 26th fed for the pair I paid a grand total of £70 although others same way bred were going for over £200 each just goes to show its not what you pay. Paul

Fair Play Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Strapper it's an Entire clearence sale so in theory they will be unregistered so how can they represent GB at the Olympiad
Beanz Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 They do not become non members if they sell up unless they resign, in fact they could in theory still purchase rings as long as they are still members, this has happened before when a well known fancier had an entire clearance sale and then it was found that the same fancier bought rings in the same year. Paul
nogin Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 fill us in pleaseeeeeee lol ASK HOMER 49 HE NO'S EVRYTHING
REDCHEQHEN Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 A friend who had an entire clearance sale wanted rings the next year to ring the young from the 4 retained birds he was refused by the union on the grounds of having a ECS Im not sure of the rules of the NEHU though ?? Barred from showing and racing for 3 years (there is a clause regarding 'hardship' and appeals) no mention of rings
REDCHEQHEN Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Is that in the NEHU or RPRA Red open your eyes - what have I highlighted in red (shrug)(shrug) NEHU rules (I'm in the NEHU )
REDCHEQHEN Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 They're paid up members until March - so will be able to get rings in January
REDCHEQHEN Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 who is in the Olympiad? If its Carl and Peter - they're not in the partnership - and live 20 miles or so from Brownlee, Nee ETC
Guest asha Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 same old story, entire clearence means no racing for 3 years,it goes ona ll the time, ;D ;D ;D they can carry on breeding, carry on training, carry on racingBUT IN SOMEONE ELSES NAME.Years ago entire clearence meant something, now it`s just another sales gimmic, half of these dont even get rid of their lofts, with plenty of birds still in them, but sell to mugs at the shows ect..will we never learn.
