white racing pigeons that win

hello tere all ... i had an unusual thing tonight that my young daughter has asked me to get her some white pigeons ... i said yes ...could people tell me what whites that can win if any and who on here has the best of them >???? cheers ...ill get them for her but they will have to be raced cheers .....mikey - gladdo

the thing is if your daughter do get the whites i think she would be most upset to see them come back wearing a red suite i wouldnt like to see her sad face for all the birds under the sun but if your daughter under stans that then why not  :-/

My Son has whites and grizzles and pieds and mosaics and and and..........................

He has done really well with his Birds this year.

I will find out tomorrow how the Whites in Particular have done!

had a white hen was going to give it away , but misses wanted it flew it full programme then went last week of racing i know what happened to it , yup had good racing ability but secumed to hawk , if there not a problem in your area have as many whites as you want

Mickey, the best whites are those that are clipped down and used for droppers. I had the same last year when at a sale, and my little girl got her grandad to buy her a white, this was a willy thas. Needless to say two long months dragged by in the summer when "ALICE", her name sake never returned from a ten mile chuck!!

Now she has two alices, they are the first back every saturday, and trap like hawks, yes, there the fantail type that are cut down. The heartache of wandering "WHERES ALICE GONE", has slowlyy been forgotten, and wont be repeated. ;D ;D ;D

you dont see many good white pigeons i think you got to have a team to try pigeons out one or 2 no good saying that im trying 4 of a friend next year fingers gross lol ;D

Tried Louella? They have this colour in the Busschaert strain cocks and hens. You could buy a pair and sell a pair of ybs off them on here and get your money back and get some well bred whites with a good pedigree that may produce that good white one.

 

Back in 1970 my dad had a pure white one which was raced over the channel and won and won many times. Different era. A bird is either good or bad and making a judgement on one in a loft against 20 others of blue etc is not a fair comparison.

 

Some one has put up a picture of their Rolland Janssens this weeks who has bred winners this year, not sure if this site or pigeon chat but they were nearly all white.

I've only had one bird taken by a hawk and guess what colour it was - white!

hawks will take the slow birds or sick birds no mater what colouer they are ? how many times have you heard flyers say im having problems with hawks , do we presume they all have white s , i dont think so

i have found with my whites that they dont get touched any were near as much as my reds and mealys :-/ so i think they dont get eaten as much as they others concidering i had about 30 whites flying out at one point!

Just to Update

Kieran still has most of his Whites etc left

He hasn't won a race with the whites but at the first race 25 pigeons dropped together so it was as case of first one in, similar story with the next race.

i think that only a myth i think hawks will take them all yes it will pull a injured or slower one out of the pack  but will kill the good ones too

good pigeons come in all sizes shapes and colours , there have been many a white champion pigeons [remembering theres less white pigeons entered than other colours  ] did jack adams not have a champ white one,? virgo, a white one ?

in my opinion [after what i witnessed last week] if mr hawk wants his dinner , hell have it ]  to update you on this , a batch of all coloured pigeons , many whites included i saw the perigrine attack many pigeons knocking them to the ground [see other post] the pigeons that were killed all looked dark pigeons from where i was standing,
