well oldyellow i find your comments very distastful that you would think never mind write that you thought it was OK for this guy to conn Jaap  

no wonder the sport is losing members  regards crossing show birds and selling off as racers i know nothing about that

they say what goes around comes around well you may be got yours at the auction a week or two ago

i will leave it there before i really say what i think of your comments

i never condoned this guys actions in anyway , and i do hope he gets his money for his birds , most sellers get the buyers details in order to transfer pigeons in to the new owners name , perhaps a lesson learned that there are less scrupless people in this sport

Sorry to hear that this has happened to him, hopefully he will be found but i wouldnt hold out much hope of it.

 

Hopefully lesson learnt though in regards to letting birds go without payment - Whatever possessed him i dont know - Yes if you know the fancier well etc, but when its at an auction ?????

 

With regards to the show racer bit - I have put it on the open forum and if thats accusing of fraud then so be it thats what i am doing, not too suprisingly i have had several PM's on both sites regarding the birds at Doncaster dome and people agreeing with what i said.

 

My comments are on the open forum and as such i stand by them 100%, lets see what there like this weekend.

 

Still sorry he got robbed though.

Chris if he is crossing show racers into racers and selling is he stateing they are racers or show racer crosses or not saying anything then its upto the buyer to be the judge

also it was not an auction it was a pen sale the guy had ordered birds off Jaap to be taken to the sale which he paid for the 2 that where not where a special breeding pair he was going to put on Elimar to be auctioned  yes i do agree with you he should never have given the ring cards or peds untill he recieved payment for them but he did not deserve to be ripped off for being nieve all is iam asking for is who ever the guy is to sort it out with him his e-mail is   leestowsmith@aol.com   he has asked me to help find this guy but i would be surprised if his name is in fact ALAN SMITH

I think you mentioned this before but i added this name to my buddy list and hes never been online so it would suggest the account doesnt exists as hes never appeared on my buddylist ( as i am on aol ) , i have done a member search and this person has no profile but other than that i cant help

your right he didnt deserve to be ripped off problem is nowadays there isnt alot you can do if you find him because if he continues not to pay and you want to take further action you can take it to court - but its alot of time and hassle to get it sorted

The Delbars at the dome were def Show racer crosses which is prob why they are winning in racer classes for you Tammy!

At Aberdare in the spring he actualy had one labelled as a "show delbar"!

Surely people buy Delbars to race from him and not to show?

I think that if he has labelled them show/delbar then he is doing nothing wrong????

 

However i dont think they would race very well.

 

This is just my view but often people say its up to the buyer to do there research but i dont quite go with that one. I believe ( foremost as a pigeon fancier) i owe it to my fellow pigeons fanciers to do my best when supplying pigeon, as we have seen on a related post you can still get it wrong. I put myself in the place of the buyer and imagine what i would like to buy and what i would think is value. I turn that around using that rule and i offer what i offer with confidence. And the money i make goes to buying better pigeons, lofts, food etc so hopefully i can gain an advantage by helping others and in the end helping myself.

 

I have said it 100 times you should source pigeons off people who race and test there pigeons every saturday every year.

I think whats being said that he actually labels them in the pens as Show/Delbars, if thats the case he isnt coning anyone.

 

This isnt the first time ive seen Delbars used in this way, why Delbars arnt they real good race pigeons (Roberts and co) why do they always seem to get mixed with show racers??

 

Can i also ask another question and on this subject i have no experience, can show racers race????
