budgie Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Just look at this weeks B.H.W. and check for yourselve what is Allfair .For what ever reason the pigeons this week look the part and not what has been advertised in the last few weeks. If you have money ,(and if you are daft enough to part with)look at the price they are demanding for Top-Class Stock Birds and remember they are Aged Stock Birds at that 02/03 and never (Bred a Curdy) in Scotland .We would class them as Sh-te and its Best Offer over £2000.00.Rememeber the 98% rule these pigeons are not worth the asking price and in our Loft they would be in the Bin.Forget how they are bred as most are 5-6 years of age.Try the National Lottery you have a better chance of winning.Ask your selve one question why are they off loading and they keep on mentioning One Loft Races. See you at Blackpool and if you come across a pre-potent pair let us know. Take care of your hard earned Cash Budgie

budgie Posted January 11, 2009 Author Report Posted January 11, 2009 heh budgie where do you buy your 2% of quality did jim hannah not time a bird from you with louella blood in it? Alan you have had a good year and check what you are timing. It will go back to the 98% rule and the pigeon that Jim timed was bred in our Lofts and was 1st West Section 2nd Open Chenoise flying 582miles and i think 2nd to J.Farn mer of Lochgelly in Fife and its breeding was a cock i purchased at Blackpool from Louella x with Jims own tried and tested family. For the records the cock only bred one pigeon to win and also went in the bin.

Guest Paulo Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 as times get harder for most won t the price of pigeons hv to come down often says for sale at work mens price s but many round me don t get paid that much , but did see the the page you talking about Problem is theres too many big money men in pigeon racing now. They have ruined the sport. You know what I mean these big partnerships of 3 - 5 people + the man in charge is normally a local businessman who is loaded and some of them even have a full time loft manager and they mob fly as well sending at least 50 young uns a race and 40 old birds. Its them who will pay stupid prices for pigeons and thats why the price is though the roof. Too many people are trying to turn pigeon racing into a business and make money out of it gone are the good old days of the man selling a few young birds to get some of the diesel and corn costs back. Now theres people buying pigeons at clearance slaes who don't even race to set studs up to try and make a business ot of it. I bet half the people who are regular advert men in the homing world can't fly a kite and don't even race. Its all smoke and mirrors and clever advertising. The only 2 sale in that paper I would part with my cash at is Staffys and theres no chance of that happening cause they will go for stupid money and I haven't got grands to spend on pigeons. At least those pigeons he is selling have won!
