Guest strapper Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 how many youngbirds would you think i could fit in an 16x8 loft,i usually have around 50-60 as i race natural.
OLDYELLOW Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 everyone has there own idea i think 60 to 64 would be sensable anymore you'l get a fly away lofts usualy find there own level too many you'l loose some , it all depends on how much ventilation there is and is it correct
Guest strapper Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 im thinking over making a 6x6 flight onto it too ,im taking down this part of my loft to accomadate this new loft..but not till the end of the year..from the white door to the fence
BANDIT Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 I think about 50 young birds in a loft that size, how many perchs have you got in the loft. you would need arround 70 to keep that amount of pigeons. they need to be happy and not to be fighting all the time . if going on the darkness you also have to think about ventilation. bandit
