At last I got my new bricon ets and today i put all the rings on my birds, what a job that was and im glad now its finished. Im putting the pads into the loft over the weekend and hope to have a go on the training mode. who else on the forum uses bricon with the little bricon clock not the speedy clock and can you tell me how easy or not it is to use, Im the only 1 of my club that is going to use it on the 1st race which will be 11 april and i just need members advice and help starting off  thanks  bandit

bricon we use,, top product with top service,, get to know your system and make sure the master is updated but if new it will be ok,, its soo easy all you do is plug in for training and racing,, nothing else,, you will need to delete the training then before you can train again,, but read the fancier handbook and the system manual,, I use the speedy so might be a little different but I expect they are the same,, remember to assign the pads to the clock,, it only takes about 2 mins to do..

best of luck and enjoy it,,

the bricon club system is the easiest out there,, right just install the BCE to your pc,, there will be a disk with the master,, this programme always looks for the latest update so no going on to any site to update.. all you do is connect the master to the pc when the programme is open,,it will then install the update on its own.. then turn the master off then on and then download the updates for the clocks,, all the clocks are updated from the master.. by going to option 12 then selecting the clock you want to update then ok,,

what you will need to do now is..

update master.. then send all race points to master.. its easy to do.. open BCE up and then click on races,,highlight the races you race from,,if they are not there ad them at the bottom,, then send to master,,job done,,

update speedy - but should be latest update if new.. it will say 008 on screen when powering up.. add your name to the clock and address and everything you need.. what we do is put everything in the BCE programme then click send to ets,, you connect your speedy into master and it is sent.. job done..

right then link your birds to the chip rings,, 3 ways to do it,, on the pc,, on the master or in the loft with the speedy.. there should be 2 officials there to witness and sign the print outs.. send to the speedy if done on pc,, if done on master it will be in the speedy ..

once all birds are in clock you are ready to train,, to delete the training you just connect the speedy to the power supply,, then go to the paper icon with rubber on it,, if you want to know what each icon does just hold the c button down,, then press ok and it will clear all races on status 7 and training,,

races - status 1 - set fro race no birds clocked,, status 3 - birds clocked and ready to be read out.. status 7 race been read and ready to delete.. you can't delete a race unless it has been read out.. you have to read a race out to delete it,, if you have no birds home in a long race and want to clear the race you can still read the race off with no birds clocked..

best of luck

Hello Paul, I use Bricon mate and have found it to be very easy to use any problems that have cropped up have been dealt with by a simple phone call to Mark Palmer, the lcd screen on my speedy started to fade I phoned up Mark who told me to take it over, he transfered all the details across to a brand new clock and off I went an happy customer.

I think you have made a wise decision with Bricon Paul I just hope you blokes over there recieve the same customer service as I do. ;)

Thanks lads for all the advice, I installed my system today and used it on training mode, later this evening after about an hour I had a practice race using the club master station. takes a bit of getting used to and im still learning. Im looking to get a much smaller printer for the system so we dont have to carry ahugh 1 to the club, whats the smallest and cheapest printer that can be used with the bricon ets and where can they be bought thanks once again.  BANDIT

I use the OKI B2400,was given a list by Mark Palmer as to which was suitable and also where to get them,go to WWW.PRINTERBASE.CO.UK they have a good selection but this one was the smallest and cheapest.
