oldguy
on the 23rd March I lost one of my best hen birds, i had been waiting a year to breed from her and she had just laid a couple of eggs. she went out of the loft for a fly late in the afternoon, leaving her mate behind....... she never returned. I blamed every hawk in the area this morning 10 days later my neighbour came round, he had heard scratching in one of his cavity walls, and after cutting a hole to find out what it was out popped the hen bird. A little thinner but in general good health. well done to the cowboy builders that at one time had removed an internal chimney stack and not bothered about putting up an RSJ and blanking off the remainder of the stack... leaving ample room for wild life to wander around my neighbours property in the secret passages kev
