Darnaway Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 Can anyone recommend a courier that will take youngsters from Glasgow to the RPRA 1 loft race having problems finding a courier. The ones advertised in the BHW that i have contacted will not come to Glasgow. Thanks Andy Mobile 07775954132 Need to get the birds there by 5th April 2009
REDROCKET Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 im taken 2 or 3 of the top ten down on sunday ,i was down last year to pick up one from the sale and it is a good setup but the first thing that caught my eye was the hawk trap in front of the loft.
blaz Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 im taken 2 or 3 of the top ten down on sunday ,i was down last year to pick up one from the sale and it is a good setup but the first thing that caught my eye was the hawk trap in front of the loft. this person is what you can call a typical pigeon basics member as he it traveling up from his base in England to collect my two for this event and bringing me my mac,s yb swop youngster and hand delivering my 2 on Sunday well done redrocket. its people like this that make this a grate site.
REDROCKET Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 any more of that and you'll have me in tears. thanks blaz.
Darnaway Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 Many thanks for the assistance of Redrocket who will be kindly taking my youngsters to the 1 loft Race. Once again thanks Andy
les Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 its all a bit of fun but think the RPRA is the fairest around. The RPRA can't afford to get involved in anything that isn't run by the book.dont be so sure ,things happen you dont get to here about.with all one loft races.
boxer Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Posted March 25, 2009 im taken 2 or 3 of the top ten down on sunday ,i was down last year to pick up one from the sale and it is a good setup but the first thing that caught my eye was the hawk trap in front of the loft. lol thats the first thing i seen when i went up last sunday hawk traps they were everywere but jeremy deals with them quite quickly so he says???i like the set up loads of room to rome aound. goodluck whoever sends birds. :)
blaz Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 after a change of mind this is my 2 entrants to the race . on their way Curtsy of red rocket
eastcoaster Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 we sent our 2 down to the rpra race ! wont say who the carrier was just yet (possible claim) they were picked up 6am on thurs arrived 8pm friday one of the birds not in great shape !! so not confident of a good performance anymore . next year i will organise our own transport or take them down ourselves. 38 hrs in a box is a disgrace , not for me in future.
eastcoaster Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 also it`s the last weekend you can send them and they are`nt open on a sat or monday ???

A member of my club and his son both have birds ready to go after tuesday from Ammanford. Phil phil I could have taken them on thursday,, but its not too far from us,, 12 miles from the start of the m50.. It will cost him about £18 in fuel.. so cheaper than using a courier.. best of luck ant
pjc Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 I know, if they were mine i'd take them but they've got to be there by the 5th and he can't get any time off work. I could have gone that wat to or from Oxford this weekend but they are not ready yet! Oh well, good luck with them!
