Roland Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 Well I'm a little glad I shalln't be racing this week - end. May is plenty early enough for me. Keeps me out of daft averages and don't lose or upset the birds in these weahers. I believe that any and All racing shouldn't start till May any way. Further, espeacially with the longer (later) Summers could well finish the y/b in early October.
OLDYELLOW Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 have to agree Roland im missing first two races as im not ready and only have yearlings so no sense in knocking them back before season starts , still be in chanel adverages i hope
greenlands Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 Hi Roland, the weathers gone downhill over the past ten/twenty years.April is more like Feb/Mar.The end of April early May is soon enough to start racing but convincing the powers that be is another thing.Lindsay
john nico Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 well i will be racing thiw weekend weather looks fine for 2morrow piked 12 yealing cocks 2 go i think they mite be in the shake up all training has gone 2 plan its just down 2 the birds now
Guest numpty01 Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 i think raceing should be when the weather warms up a bit as there is still quite a chill in the air and birds dont like it
Roland Posted April 10, 2009 Author Report Posted April 10, 2009 Well John, will certainly set them back a bit for the following weeks. Yearlings hate bad weather, especially any East in Wind. Further, they thrive and are far better for the sun on their backs.... Good luck to you. Me, if I was to send, would just do as a few season ole pros do.... and odd Old cock bird or hen. Justr to have a little fun, and keep the averages open like.
barnsley_pigeonman Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 I GOT TO GO DOWN TO PIGEONS IN COLD SO THERE GOT TO GO TO THE RACE SOME PPL TO SOFT WITH PIGEONS
