what will happen with the intergrated rings?

They will be no use to anybody if cut off!

Is it not a rule in Scotland that birds can not be wing stamped?

Yes, agree that it has been reported before on here, and has been going on for years, and as the rings aren't easily removed, it's deliberate theft - an ets ring is the fancier's property. Even removing a rubber isn't really on, because you may be interfering with a current race, and wouldn't surprise me if that was the real reason for removing the ets ones, trying to make life difficult for the owner / prevent the bird being raced.

Sound a bit pananory that.... like my spelling.

And time this codswallop was knocked on the head, such tripe. :o :o

IF a bird goes into another loft, no chance is it ever going to get placed let alone win a race, so the ole *expletive removed* with 'Jealousy' is broiught up for no more reason that 'To bring it up'

Who really gives a monkeys behind who wins in another Fed and part of the countru  :-/ :-/

No one. If a three day race - and a fellow once reported straight away a bird, drove half way with it to Normanton, wehere another Fancier clocked it in .... Won, then the fellow that took it the 45 miles spouted out what a good deed he'd done, and how he'd help to win a race etc. The Owner was rightfully disqualified.

What are we talking here. Chances of a bird going into another loft, and stopping it winning  :-/ :-/ :-/ -Light Feed and water and chuck it out .... may clear, probably to settle on a roof nearby.

Taking a rubber of to let the owner know it's been in another loft  :-/ So what  :o :o :o

The owner has every right to know, and deal with in whatever way they think fit!

Where is the malice, jealousy to an unknown fancier :o :o Where are we here

Streuth! Asha, get over here and put some sense into these strange notions :o :o

Had a bird - two actually in the last week, that when training, didn't want to come out the basket! Should have took them back. Knew that they weren't 'Up for It'.

Yes lost one and the other was 3 days late from 20 miles....

Now the RPRA says, though haven't rea of late, that convoyers were / are to bring these birds back, and NOT to be like the old Train system of tipping them all out.

Just how many of you see / hear of, or indeed know of any lately brought back for this reason :-/ :o :o

Very few.... Suppose the convoyer has hidden agenda's here too - much more likely a scenario I think - But never hear it question now, or of late, and this is a far far great misdeed that any stray entering a loft....

Probaly one that didn't want to leave the basket in the first place :-/ :-/ :-/

So just where is the blame if any?

Certainly not with any fancier going to the trouble of feeding and watering, caring for it - YS a flipping nuisance and a lot of time effert in housing away from the your birds and extra chore.

So he takes the rubber of to let the fancier know I.e. a way of getting a unbeknown 'Thank You' and like Asha said too, and letting the owner know that for some reason it wasn't good enough on the day FOR WHATEVER reason! Now I use to say that 'No' because I FEARED THAT ONCE without the rubber you may be signing it's ..... warrent! But surely it also, and should tell the owner to look in the mirror. Replay the build up, and also the ability of that bird surely! :o:( :(

Nice one Roland. Just a point. If I ever found out that someone had deliberatly killed one of mine I would be having a very close conversation with them. Very close indeed.

It's just the same as the Gentlemen who tell me that they don't want it back and tell me to kill it. There has been a couple of occasions when I have offered to twist their necks for them. In fact I actually turned up on the doorstep of one article who lived about 15 miles from here. I could go on, but I think this subject must have run it's course by now.

I can't change the World but at least I can offer my opinion on some of the stupid and downright nasty things I see.

Yes owen, I agree. Every one must have the right to have final say in regards THEIR' pigeon.

I know of thoses that say that they just neck them. Like you I would give them a slap. Once had a great little feral.... first in trapswhen scared, first bird back when tossed 60 miles.

Mate came round and long story short said it was no good and necked it. He never came around for a while, and never came back.

frankie Gearges loft manager came to my fathers to collect a stray. Asked my dad where the 'Dust bin' was after paying 50p - going rate was 3/6d -17 and a half p.- Dad said he'd be in it if he thought he was going to dispose of it here - especially in front of us kids.
