Blue Chequer Pied Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Great to see. I have a photo somewhere of my son with his favourite bird ( a white grizzle of course ) when he was two. It was 1st club 3rd fed in it's first race. He is now letting my birds out at night when i am working late. He gets them in and feeds them and shuts up. He is really enjoying it and it is a great help to me only thing he would have a loft full of fancy colours. Long may it continue Paul.

Long may it continue Paul. that is great i aint up to letting them let them out yet but when i am in the loft they follow me in and love messing with the babbies which i dont mind as it helps to get the babbies tame, It gives me some great memories seeing the kids like that as i was just the same and have always been intrested in to them, and having some great memorries of the birds while i was growing up, my dad says when i was 6 i wondered off when we were on holiday in great yarmouth, and he found me among pigeons, feeding the street birds, (true story). If your son is like me he will never grow out of the colours, because i havent you only need to see my birds at my house.

HaHaHa! patience Blaz. Get them scraping out, that may change their enthusiasm.(bunny)
pjc Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 HaHaHa! patience Blaz. Get them scraping out, that may change their enthusiasm.(bunny) I agree, let them help and earn there time with the birds. If the birds are flying tell them "come and scrape out" by which time the birds will have had their fly and you can see them. It would be like serving an apprenticeship.
