just been to my local feed merchants who mainly supply horse feed but also do pigeon feed, etc and was charged £19.37 for a 25 kilo bag of natural de scheemaeker bros french breeding mix  :(  this is the third price increase at this store now in the last 6 months   how much do you pay and for what mix ?  it seems that the further down south you are the more you pay or am i wrong?     kev

all our stock are on economy with beans and maples added,, so a high protein food but they are doing well on it,, for about £10 a bag..

the racers..lmao thats a different story,, 1 bag costs £16 ,,   :(  another costs £14 and the third is only "12..lol.. so all three mixed together and averages out at £14 a bag..

£16 for a 20 kg bag,, but the dogs dangly bits..

Versa Laga Champion was on offer this week 25kg [5kg extra ] £ 12.75  so we stocked up!,you just have to constantly shop around.During the breeding season we actually found it cheaper to make up our ownn mix which was far better as there were no cheap fillers in there,we could just keep adjusting it accordingly. It's just about gettinng the best quality for the best price,we personally would never feed anything really cheap, tried once years ago to put my old retired birds on an "own" economy mix and there was half a dead mouse in it!!,never again
