hi there could someone help me with what type of feeding to use and when to give it to them for the longer races

i would pair late, hence holding their flights, mature, expeienced  birds, distant bred,  roughly 4 races , higher  protein  diet, 8 hour fly about 4 weeks b4 race , then feed a higher carboheydrate diet nearer the race in question, sent in their suited nest condition [natural]  i,e distances of over 500 miles   trained every second day , the last three weeks b4 race ,,,so higher protein diet, going on to higher carbo, nearer the race :)
