Pete, I would be hoping 10 to 12 hours to see one back, but this is one racepoint when you think they will do it in 10 they take 14, and when you think they will do in 14 they do it in 10.

Frankdooman, where are you?? and is the mist clearing or not??

they would hopefully be well past Frank Dooman by now - in Redcar its hazy - but visibility isn't bad (I can see the hills but not the individual trees - I would be able to see them if visibility was excellent)

however it is rather warm

Pete.

I think with permission from the Sec your clock can be done at your own club.

Water is a good question, a lot used to think they took the shortest route to land, however some think that they will do the first 250 to 300 miles across water, coming inland at around Berwick.

I think as they are up in a light east wind they will follw the coastline down.

East Coast Edinburgh area light mist lifted around an hour ago and very warm. If they come ashore at Berwick then that is a lot of water they have flown over. Suppose it depends on weather but usually misty on the east coast when warm and easterly wind. I would think this must be one of the hardest liberation points given the prevailing westerly winds. Good luck to all who are flying.

Birds have to be verified by phone within 1 hour of clocking. So rest assured early birds will be on the NRCC site as soon as they are home
