Guest chrisss Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 depends on what the owner wants doing ,if the poor sod has lost a few and has 3/4 reported then he might need some "help"
kev01293 Posted July 7, 2009 Author Report Posted July 7, 2009 as u all pretty much agree then il carry on doing what im doing and well done gazza 1 for making a 280ml round trip to collect your pigeon especially as it was with a non fancier i understand that some fanciers are short of cash but as gazza 1 says our pigeon so our responsibility and i couldnt agree more kev
Guest phillip Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Hi all . Wish we had such caring Fanciers in South Africa . We virtually never receive a message or phone call WRT lost pigeons . The general perception is that pigeons getting killed when entering some one else,s loft for fear of infecting their birds . This is frowned upon but unfortuanately still happening . Some also see somebody else,s birds as oposition and kill as well .
Guest shadow Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 feed and water for a couple of days take well away from my location and liberate if they are any good they will go home :)
Dodgy Trapper Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 When i get the odd y/b stray in and i report it and the fancier say do you want it, sometimes i say yes. Treats them the same as my y/b's. Have a 07 stray (transferred i may add) pigeon is entered at Tarbes BICC this Saturday, been coming well from France this year (you never know). There is only one judge in pigeons and its called the basket.
