Got a stray in the beginning of last week and phoned the number on the clip ring and found it was a bird racing from Thurso then tonight got in another stray covered in oil and again phoned the number on the clip ring to discover it belonged to the same fancier in the south of england as the stray I got in the week before except this time it had been lost from an Arbroath race a few weeks before, ??) what are the chances of that happening :-/

Going back a few years ago I had 6 youngbirds in one evening and an old hen that had been lost weeks before the YB's from the same fancier. They even gave me a box of goodies when he came to fetch them.

It happened to me this year with young birds.Got a call " hi mate i've got one of your y.bs." I duly collected it a blue hen with a purple marker. Two weeks later the same fancier "Hi mate that y.bs. back".I knew there was one missing so off I went to collect it.Different pigeon pencil cock ,makes you wonder why they do it.Lindsay
