Because of excesive losses with old and young birds I have decided to stop racing this season.My darkness young birds look really good but I want them to break into the moult as soon as posible.Whats the best way to bring on the moult ?,any help would be appreciated.

some say use buttermilk in the water lindsay m8...im told it works very well.

u could try butter milk its supposed to make them drop flights like no tomorrow

dont feed them for 48 hours and they will break into a moult, however i think you should continue there education even if its only in the training basket.

 

Thanks you two lads for info on buttermilk,I agree with the training Stu.but we get hammered  with percy if we go too far.

how much butter milk ? do use it whole or mix with water ?

 

i was told mate it goes on the corn but unsure on the amount perhaps strapper can help on that one

dont let them out leave them locked in with pleanty of small seeds and u could try tea with moulting seeds but locking them up is very important, butter milk does work but when u mix it with water it settles, wait a good half hour to an hour after feed to make sure they have a good drink of it.
