Guest bigda Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 thanks frank i wonder what sort of race those lads had as they sat 15 north of us at ripon
frank-123 Posted August 23, 2009 Author Report Posted August 23, 2009 talking with someone today his brother had 80 away 60 home sure ib will update you on the north west fed i was more thinking the english-welsh fed racing south into our area that our birds would have been dragged away south birds have been reported in cumbria, cheshire yorkshire wigan so they never went very far from wetherby begining to think clashing might not be the problem more like did they leave wetherby area because since last night on this site and on pigeonchat i have not had one reply saying english/welsh feds struggled or had lots of scots birds in with there's
Guest IB Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 i wonder what sort of race those lads had as they sat 15 north of us at ripon I don't think NW liberation would have any bearing on Lanarkshire, we were North West of you in a South West wind. What puzzles me is how your birds got West of the Penines in a Westerly wind, and that also appears to have happened a good deal further south than Cumbria, judging by the West Coast locations given in Frank1-2-3's later post. Almost as if the birds headed due West from racepoint? North West Fed libbed 0800 at Ripon , 157 miles to me. Birds took longer than expected, with big gaps between them, and in our club most returns were fairly poor at clock meeting [two hours after your first pigeon is timed] I'd 2/8 then.
