Thimbles Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 A hell of a lot more than i would ever get from louella, believe me i have had their rubbish on more than one occasion, but if you want to waste your money then go ahead, i dont need to i own better stock than you'll ever likely to own in your life time. Thats a bit big headed of you but i agree not that you have the best stock on here as i do.I agree your just buying crap from louella very wild crap at that aswell
BLACK W F Posted September 3, 2009 Author Report Posted September 3, 2009 your taken this the wrong way mate you have not got a clue what i have or have not got i was trying to give you an example but i will tell you i have access to lofts you could only dream about i was trying to show the ratio there are a lot of good birds come from louella there is always going to be a high percentage of duds like all lofts thats the reason i asked that questions
Guest pigeon82 Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 i had youngsters from my dad which he bought from louella last year had 4 got 2 left one of those got me 1st club 98 miles and the other got me 2nd club 179 miles im happy with louella birds i and my dad have never had problems with them
holmsidelofts Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 Thats a bit big headed of you but i agree not that you have the best stock on here as i do.I agree your just buying crap from louella very wild crap at that aswell now thats the kind of person i like some one talks the truth, I have nothing against louella in fact i think as a business they do extremely well, and for someone starting up in the sport i think its not bad value for money but any serious fancier would have to pay a fortune to get the goods from louella, my other problem with big studs are they are in business to make money, you cant tell me if you wanted say for instance rolland jansens and they didnt have any available they would tell you that, you would be given what ever they had and you would be none the wiser, its the difference between a sale or not, and they wouldnt loose a sale i guarantee you that. a pedigree is only as valuable as the paper its printed on unless you have a a dna test thats the only way to prove if that bird you purchase is from the pedigree its supplied with.
Thimbles Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 I find louellas birds just upset my loft bouncing off the walls and trying to go through the roof everytime i looked at them
Guest pigeon82 Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 Thats a bit big headed of you but i agree not that you have the best stock on here as i do.I agree your just buying crap from louella very wild crap at that aswell what proof do you have that these birds are wild crap you have none so you cant say that i know a few people who have bought from them plus when im talking to the people they say its notjust the pigeon that does the hard work have you thought of that perhaps you dont know what to do to get the best from these birds because a few people have had no problems with louella pigeons i have no problems in fact first race 1st club cant beat that
holmsidelofts Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 your taken this the wrong way mate you have not got a clue what i have or have not got i was trying to give you an example but i will tell you i have access to lofts you could only dream about i was trying to show the ratio there are a lot of good birds come from louella there is always going to be a high percentage of duds like all lofts thats the reason i asked that questions i dont dispute that mate, the same as you dont know me, Ive been in the sport for 30 years and have had the opportunity to visit and befriend some of the best fanciers in the world, im not having a go at you im just stating a fact, about big studs, The quality of the birds i have had from them on the 2 occasions i did purchase from them were very poor, one of them couldnt have been no older than 15 - 18 days old, no feathers under the wing, they never raced well, or breed anything. to get the best you have to have a relationship with the person who sells them, as you know that any way. It wasnt a go at you as i said i dont know you but i know from my experiences with louella, i was at the blackpool show this year and thought louellas birds were some of the worst pigeons there. but thats just my opinion. Jas
BLACK W F Posted September 3, 2009 Author Report Posted September 3, 2009 now thats correct but i am sure you must agree without dna testing none of us can guarentee what ck they are off un less in single flight box ect but there must be some trust if you look at the brasspennings 1 was off the auto winner just an example where as i would maybe buy a couple of pair i still prefer birds to come off either the producing pairs or prizewinners as there are only 2 types the ones that score and the ones that breed them the others just eat corn and crap and we all got plenty of them
Thimbles Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 what proof do you have that these birds are wild crap you have none so you cant say that i know a few people who have bought from them plus when im talking to the people they say its notjust the pigeon that does the hard work have you thought of that perhaps you dont know what to do to get the best from these birds because a few people have had no problems with louella pigeons i have no problems in fact first race 1st club cant beat that I beg you pardon i have purchased birds from louella and they were the wildest pigeons i have ever seen.It was older stock i bought which were for stock purposes but due to there bad behaviour they never made the stock section apart from 1 cock
Guest pigeon82 Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 what im trying to say is sorry if it came out wrong i spend nearly 2 to 3 hrs every day in my loft i only have a small loft but all my birds will eat from my hand and anything that comes in if doesnt eat from my hand it will starve till it does i try to keep themtame as possiblebest way but think about how many birds they have they will never have enough people to do this butmy dad does the same he buys them young to try and tame them and most do get tame
Blue Chequer Pied Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 It is a bit like the national lottery! Somebody wins it most weeks and you see them in the papers but you never hear about the 8,789,254 people who win nothing every week. 8) Paul.
BLACK W F Posted September 3, 2009 Author Report Posted September 3, 2009 paul you know plenty guys done well with birds from there
Thimbles Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 Do you think at louella they handle all there stock..Idont think so You wont have a problem with there ybs as you can tame them easier. Its not good to have your birds too tame apparently they ill go down easier on a bad day
Blue Chequer Pied Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 paul you know plenty guys done well with birds from there I know plenty of guys that have won a tenner on the lottery and put on hundreds of pounds a year doesn't mean I will be buying lottery tickets! Paul.

BLACK W F Posted September 3, 2009 Author Report Posted September 3, 2009 yes i am in agreement with that the best birds are usually what you get as gifts or are recommended by a friend you usually get a good deal and i have been in plenty top lofts and offered birds off their best but new they would not fly in my area horses for corses does not mean the birds or fancier no good just the way it is
