willow Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 Do not give up hope , my bird went to France and never came home for 28days she was a baby bird but she did turn up , so all hope is not lost yet . It is strange that so many birds do get lost of late though . I hope you get them back safe . Willow
jimmy white Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 sorry to hear that, it seems that some yb racing this year has some un-explained losses, lets hope you get more birds back, its a real knock back when this happens, i feel for you lads that have encountered this,, lets hope more return, and possible reasons for this happening can come to light, for the futures sake

boxer Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 it was a nice day when they lib the best day we have had for a while.but the weathers been sh** ever since
Gail J Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 I can tell you where they are pigeon82, they are in Pembroke, had a few reported in the last few days, 2 of them landed with non fanciers and are now in welsh fanciers lofts being taken care of
pjc Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 there are probably a lot around that area being fed awaiting the weather to improve before being released. Not a lot of point reporting them as owners find it to much hassle to get the birds back!
Babybird Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 Anyone looked up that magnetic index thingy ?
Gail J Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 I agree Phil, just wish they would ring the whu to ask if someone in the area would look after it, not expect the finder to do it, especially when they are non fanciers
BANDIT Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 HAVENT SEEN A FEATHER OUT OF 10,GOT 1 IN FROM THE NORTH OF IRELAND AND AM GETTING IT RIGHT BEFORE GETTING IT TOSSED NEAR HOME.
pjc Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 with the amount missing should put posters up on phone poles.
Gail J Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 there were 3 in one persons garden, looked healthy and just feeding, 2 left at 3.30 so hopefully the other 1 will fly off as well
pjc Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 but how many have perrished in the weather this last week unable to find food and shelter?
BANDIT Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 MAYBE OUR WELSH COUSINS COULD GATHER THEM UP AND SEND THEM BACK ON 1 OF THE MANY FERRYS THAT SAIL EACH DAY.ALWAYS PLENTY OF TRUCKERS GOING BACK AND FORTH
Gail J Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 it's been terrible all week but supposed to be nice tomorrow so hopefully they will find their way
Gail J Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 MAYBE OUR WELSH COUSINS COULD GATHER THEM UP AND SEND THEM BACK ON 1 OF THE MANY FERRYS THAT SAIL EACH DAY.ALWAYS PLENTY OF TRUCKERS GOING BACK AND FORTH I would think that could be arranged
pjc Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 prob is if they wouldn't face the water in a batch will they face it solo?
