Guest Denny Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 My daughter wants to buy me a couple pairs of white Indian fantails for my birthday, but I am worried about intigrating them with my logan ybs. If she gets them for me how long would I need to quarantine them for before allowing them to mix with the others? Do I allow them to mix?
pjc Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 i would keep them seperate for at least a week, that way you can observe them, droppings, health etc before intergrating them.
REDCHEQHEN Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 I would keep separate for 2 to 3 weeks - airing on the side of caution
REDCHEQHEN Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 I would keep separate for 2 to 3 weeks - airing on the side of caution If my own birds have been missing for a week - I isolate for a minimum of 10 days
Roland Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 Realistically a month. First week or so their dropping etc. with be amiss. Further regardless of all the mumbo jumbo, dropping vary with Feed/ Tempreture and time of day. Eyes that sparkle and alert, wink at you. Posture are far far better signs.
