chickadee Posted September 26, 2009 Report Posted September 26, 2009 Our main regret is losing our good friend Billy McKechnie and the sadness that caused we never got round to racing this year. Looking forward to next year and racing in his memory and wishes that we will carry on
Delboy Posted September 26, 2009 Report Posted September 26, 2009 I regret not enjoying my pigeons as I used to,
Tony C Posted September 26, 2009 Report Posted September 26, 2009 As the little sparrow once sung "Non, je ne regrette rien" Mistakes? we all make em, the winners make less thats all.
Guest Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 Mistakes .... Thinking I could start back up where I left off 7 years ago when packed up, it don't work like that :-/ Lessons learned .... (1) Walk before you run...... (2) Buying quality rather than quantity.... (3) Practising what I preach .... (4) having the ability to be self critical. Regrets .... Losing good birds by being impatient.
terry mccarthy Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 only a couple of mistakes breeding to many youngsters and not having hardly any loses and sending to the wrong combines and perhaps if im going to be critical of my self messing my feeding up a couple of times
Guest Paulo Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 Had a good young bird season but the old birds was a poor showing. Biggest mistake was thinking that I can beat lads flying widowhood and roundabout all the time with natural pigeons. You can if you get everything right but you have to pick your races. Its roundabout for old birds next year.
sapper756 Posted September 27, 2009 Author Report Posted September 27, 2009 I put this thread up as an interest subject, some very good and honest responces, cheers folks

Guest Hjaltland Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 Disposing of a stock cock which it has now come to light as being a bad mistake... trade off between patience and a small loft.
Guest j v ward Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 mistake seending all my y bird team to the first race it was a bad race for returns
gangster Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 the only mistake i regret is being honest with a certain member who has since tried to make me look like i lied but i was honest with him more honest than he is in what he claims his birds are....saddo.......
marmite Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 mistakes i made loads not getting on top of rat prob earlier. messing about with roundabout system ie leaving them together 1 wk then splittin them up again poor birds didnt know whether they were coming or going. and being over confident . well had big kick up the rear no wins this yr. only thing i got right was stopping my younguns after 5 races cos they where fallin to bits they look fab now
Guest IB Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 The thing about making mistakes is that you learn from them; I have already decided to change my working hours next year during the racing season, this years routine didn't suit me or the birds. Just keep tryin, and you will get it right ... sometime
