DAVIDL Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 yes an internal door is also good so the birds dont fly over your head and escape....do you plan on getting young birds or older birds ? if older, maybe an outside aviary would be good for them.......

Guest bakes Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 transport will take over 5 hours mate to my house from yours
just ask me Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 i personally would rather a timber floor not mad about lino can get too messy
Guest bakes Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 is it best to put a floor covering like sawdust wood chippings wood shavings
Guest G.Drysdale + son Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Up to you my floors are bare yb's a layer of straw.
Guest bakes Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 thinking of putting some wood chipping down would thought it would absorb water droppings
Guest blaz hear Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 bare wooden floor and give it a scrape evry other day

Guest blaz hear Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 i have seen a loft with at least 2 foot thick with shti and the birds where immaculate
pjc Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 lino can be dangerous and slippery for you! You need more ventilation, put some grilles near floor level with a gap near the roof the air will circulate keeping the loft dry and fresh.

wilkins Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 nothing wrong with lino , can be cleaned easy but i would say you need loight and vents
Guest bakes Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 there is 3 vents in there two on he right side of the shed and one at the front of the shed plus there air coming through the saftey door how much more ventilation do they need indoor aviary taken down give the birds the full 10ft 8ft worth of the shed
