shocked more than thrill

sadly my birds have had problem with illness  and two will never race again

one went blind in one eye another has a "paratyphoid" wing problem

 

great flying frank, really saddened by that dammed paratyphoid,, im quite sure this is getting more common than folks think,,

would have to say when we won 1st section newbury snfc in 2004 then the same bird got injerd and mist the result the next year but we got him back to the race in 2007 where he was 4th section he did not race in 2006

oh it was fantastic john i was shaking for 20 mins and proud to think my old man was looking down saying knew you could do it son

i have tried a good few times now i need to do it again :o

 

you will frank,only about 8 months to the first national. :) ;D

great thread great story jimmy the first time i won out of lambella in france into DUBLIN on my own it was my last race i had to

take the loft of the roof that year great day but a sad one :)

YES AND HE HAS WON MORE THAN THIS IN CLUB AND FED in the stock loft

well done wings,, really annoying when this  always seem  to the best birds,

 

this is what happened to" sir colin" someone broke his wing, in his prime,  at distance racing, after winning £5000, and being second national [first bird into scotland flying over 600 miles]  many other positions

but , as luck would have it, went to stud and bred many winners at the distance , three cocks for me scoring in three different nationals, many for others including g/children
