that all depends on how your going to fly them and which system/s you wish to fly and how many birds you wish to house ;)

if your handy at all [which i am not  ;D] there are often wooden garages for sale pretty cheap in our local yellow paper, most of these are pretty large , some often free for the dis-mantling and shifting,[often by  people moving away] ive seen many a good loft built from these :)  just need a little luck in  snapping them  up quickly :)

Hi Phil.....firstly welcome to the sight.

I would take a real hard look at making your own.....I am in a similar position to yourself, and recently priced the timber to build a 24 x 6. Made from 3/4 shiplap, 3/4 plywood for floor, OSB for roof (felted) all sides and roof on 3 x 1.5 framework, flooring on 4 x 1.5 joists.  My cost for timber  falls in around £500 !!!! This is just for shell, won't take a lot to fit out inside.

does that price include door runners, polycarb, nails, woodstain, bolts, saw? Add to that you've got to be handy at woodwork or it becomes an expensive mess. Not saying your wrong about it being cheaper your way, but its only cheaper if the end result is a professional looking loft and not an eyesore.
