Guest TAMMY_1 Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Out of interest, do you think that there would be enough interest to sustain a unit in Fife supplying feed and products for pigeons and other birds. We have them in Edinburgh and Perth, not sure about Dundee but if we were in that direction it could cover both It could also act as a hub for couriers :-/ A bit far away ;D ;D
DOVEScot Posted December 16, 2009 Author Report Posted December 16, 2009 A bit far away ;D ;D I am surprised you dinnae want free delivery and a discount Tammy "Scrouge" Garvie ;)

ALF Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Go for it Duncan Its always good to see folk trying to help our sport. Its very hard to get pigeon supplies nowadays and alot of people use the internet to get their stuff. Its good to go out and get a couple of bags of feeding and have a BLETHER. Yes it sure is Derek that's why i go over to Gordon Geddes's to get my feeding and had a cuppa and a blether for a while when i was over last week Good luck Duncan if you decide to go ahead with it 8) 8) 8)
Blue Chequer Pied Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Duncan the clubs in the north are looking for suppliers now that our fed has decided not to purchase in bulk ( or so I am led to believe) so there would be a market for pallet deliveries up here. Paul. p.s you could always deliver mine to Forres
lawrie Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 i cant see it doing a big turn-over. theres to much compotiton for pigeon feed and its not even a big market. i would buy it in bulk when you visit malcky at travel cost. it would be better to research the market for buyers before you start the business up.

There is no competition in Fife for an outlet, there is loads from clubs that do it for the members but the problem I am hearing is keeping/getting the stuff you want when the pallet runs out. Malky's club gets it in but they still need to go to Coxydene Farm most weeks.
lawrie Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 if you can get the supplies and sell without running out then it works. if people are not suppling when theres demand...push in. take their business. that would be my idea. your in an area where pigeon supplies are needed. take advantage mate.
