hannigf Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 I must appoligise again for my ignorance but I've saw and read articles where people say they gave their birds a bath, perhaps its on a weekly basis, perhaps when they return from a race. Do they mean they pick up the birds and dip them in water or just leave out a basin of water? Do people have their own methods and additives? Francy.???

greenlands Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Here you are mate a photo of my birds taking a bath infront of the lofts.Some people bath their birds prior to sending to a race,weather permitting I like mine to bath after a race on the Saturday,if not they bath Sunday morning whatever the weather. Francy.??? we bathe ours in a bath on a Tuesday before the race and a Sunday after it if the wish to use it, also with potassium permangenate added

fred smyth Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 mate thinks im mad ,,but i shower my birds in the aviary , i put the hose on a fine spry and shower them for about an hour they love it , lift there wings and turn round for to get both sides done , they cant get enough of it, :)
