Guest lenwadebob Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 This is becoming all to regular of late, and in my opinion is being performed by organised groups, who sadly MUST have some connection with pigeons. I think we should all keep our ears to the ground and report anything suspicious. As in most crimes, the perpetrators are generally known to the victim.

Was the very reason I told bazza why I got so much cctv and won't let people near my lofts, and why I won't tell anyone my ring numbers or show pedigrees unless for a very good reason, you have to wonder why people want ring numbers when you see crimes like this, are they the ones giving these crooks information. :-/

I didn't disagree with you for not giving information on the open forum but I did disagree with you asking for a deposit for the disclosure of information in private. We all have to use our own discretion about who we disclose information to and who we allow onto our property.

Roland Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Have often tried to dissuede folks from advertising the pigeons numbers. Can't see any point in it whatsoever... Just tell the thieves which ones to pinch. :o Knew of a fellow that use to pinch to arder back in the mid - late 50's. :-/ We just need to know, and read the write up without the ring number. Simple that really!

REDROCKET Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 looks like all you guys with the good birds sadly will have to keep a more secure setup especially if your in the licester area as mentioned in the news paper link and i'll start worrying if the romanians open an eatery in my area as long as its not a fast food joint.

Sad but true.
