POMPY Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 Nine eggs gone missing over the last 3 weeks , only way in is through a wooden dowel front . space of doweling is 38mm gaps, pigeons not touched , only a single egg now and then , any thoughts what it might be. lofts are locked all the time .no broken egg shells in loft,
ALF Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 Get some wire up behind the spars and i would say it was a squirrel as a rat would eat the pigeon not just take the eggs Had squirrels going into my own loft 3 or 4 yrs ago and once i started setting the traps i was catching them everyday
Guest IB Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 My first thought was a squirrel, after seeing one in local park carrying a whole egg in its mouth. Need to put wire mesh over the dowelled area.
