blaz Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 we have raised £4239 :-/ i would like to THANK king billy(tam) for coming up with the idea.a big THANKS to lenwadebob (bob) . to all the breeders and buyers THANKS very much. £4239 IS THE TOTAL JUST NOW I have had some pm,s from bidders on some of the lots that have not been paid. so i am waiting till this Saturday before i pm the members if their lot has not been paid. any lots not sold WON,T be going up for sale again. in an ideal world we would all be loaded with cash or all working with no family problems . we are not in an ideal word so i won,t be putting any names up of any lots not paid for.
thunderbigbaws Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 you should name them, they have stopped some other bid from getting some good birds. not to mention wasteing your time
Guest Davy Fleming Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 They should really be offered to the nearest bid as it is for a good cause

Yes Gary but you dont bid and buy things or birds you have no intention of or cant afford to pay for .. People like that are just time wasters and should have left well alone and let some other bidder get the bird they wanted . Not only have they deprived the soilders of there money but also other fanciers who were bidding on the birds .. That one dont wash with me im afraid :-/ :-/
HOMER49 Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Hi Gary and Bob You seem to be about £800 less that a total I seen posted I consider this nothing short of disgraceful that bids are place on lots and not paid for NO EXCUSES THEY BID AND SHOULD PAY OR BE NAMED ON HERE Although it is Gary and Bobs call if the vendors agreed the lots unpaid should be offered to the 2nd highest bids JMO Cheers and well done to both of you Homer 49
clyde Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 think garry has made his veiw clear and we should respect that ,
Guest lenwadebob Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 I understand from Gary, who has dealt with the financial side of this auction, that 3 lots that I was directly involved in have not been paid for AS YET. Those Lots will NOT be offered for re-auction, on a matter of principle. I never ask for anything in return for what I do for charity and NEVER expect charity in return, but I have to say, IF PEOPLE BID, THEN PEOPLE PAY, or they get banned from bidding on future auctions as per site rules. I put birds up in good faith, as did the other donors, for OUR SOLDIERS, the same as for the N&NUH Children's Ward Auction that I ran a few months ago. People DIDN'T pay then, and people haven't paid now, and for me it isn't good enough. SORRY IF I OFFEND BUT IT'S A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED.

I hope admin have blocked the non payers from bidding as there are other auctions which could suffer the same problems.
Guest lenwadebob Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 I understand peoples circumstances MAY change, but at least have the decency to let the sellers/organisers know. But to bid just to stop someone else winning and then disappearing into the ether, is bang out of order. That is why I proposed that buyers/bidders should have a minimum number of posts or minimum time as a member BEFORE they are allowed to buy/bid for sale birds or auction lots on this site. Let us all hope that lessons will be learned.
Guest lenwadebob Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 I know Gary is pee'd of with this, and so am I. We both put a lot of time and effort into running this and got bleeding ears of our wives, and all we asked for in return was that people honoured their bids. A few are going to spoil it for the majority :-/

Guest bakes Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 you hit the nail on the head bob if you dont wont the birds or cant afford the birds why bid people that does this need a bann so they cant bid on other lots that comes up for sale the lads lasses out at war put there lifes at risk every second of the day they are on patrol they dissurve more than this well done to bob and gary for your time you have put into raising the money for this worth while charity plus well done to all that donated for this take my hat off to you all all the best.
blaz Posted February 24, 2010 Author Report Posted February 24, 2010 ALL LOTS NOT PAID NAMES AND LOT NUMBER WILL BE SENT TO VALLANCE. THIS WILL STOP THEM FU888NG UP ANOTHER SALE.
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Well done to Gary and Bob, can clearly see that the 2 of use are pi--ed off, These non payers should be named on here but only after they are given a chance to come and apologize to all concerned including the Soldiers, Gary, Bob and the PB forum members, otherwise a ban should be implemented?? it's a amateur sport and it should be protected as much as possible.

Guest Mav Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Like someone said earlier, You may be bidding against yourself if they have bidded at any time during the auction. Mav

clyde Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 i know one guy who said he was going 2 push the lots up that i was after thats why i had 2 bid by pm only 2 stop that person ,he is out of order ? thats a fact
Guest strapper Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 i would vote to ban anyone off the site if they were found to be bidding to stop anyone else have that bid, then not pay. anyone who bids should be accountable for his/her actions and made public that they have not done so.jmo
walterbmasson Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 THE REALY BAD THING THAT I SEE IS THE CHARITY IS SUFFERING BY THIS ACTION AND THE GENUNINE FANCIERS WHO HAVE PAYED WILL BE THINKING THAT THEY COULD BE ONE THE MEMBERS THINK HASENT PAYED AND EVERY DONER OF A BIRD WILL BE hacked OFF AS WELL NOT GETTING A CHANCE TO HELP OUR SOLDIERS THAT IS SACRIFICEING THERE LIVES FOR US {SORRY i think the lots that is not sold should be put up for highest bidder for one night you dont have to do nothing some one on here i am sure would finish it off as i am sure a lot of fanciers would like to get a chance to get them there is one thing for sure them that didnt take them did not want them in the first place vallance should allow this to come to a satisfactory end and sell the birds that is already been given to this good cause
Williedoo Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 I agree Walter,I bought a bird and raffles in that sale and I would not like people thinking that I might not have paid.
