Guest Jargre- Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 I was ringing a few young ones and checked them for throwing the rings just in case and lo and behold two of them had, it seems they don't like them lumpy ets edges on the new style rings as they are probably digging into them in the nest. Might be best advised to double check every day til they can't come off no more. Has anyone else had any problems with them?
Guest stb- Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 should always check with any rings , dont see the tiny lugs making any difference

Dont see anyproblems with them as have said on previous posts about them. mountains out of molehills . Can you not get welsh rings without the lugs if you think they are a problem for you . You have more chance of the rings coming of if you have straw in the nest bowls than with the lugs, always check until they are to big to come of . Saw somthing about this on another site though

Guest IB Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 The lugs must be causing 'a problem' otherwise RPRA wouldn't agree to them being taken off. Good that users share information & experience with others.
