they can become a bit jittery after been vaccinated , id hang on till ybs are feathered up then jag them dont want any smashed eggs

i have did this b4 whilst sitting,, the reason was , i was late in getting the vaccine, although i was wary of this, at the time,  i found it  didnt do the birds any harm,,, they were mainly" just down on eggs"

if you want to jag your birds thats ok but use the fine needles,then there wont be any probs,ken.

Think its to do with timing of the new youngsters' jag. I'm sure you are advised to do parents X weeks before breeding season. PMV antibodies end up in crop milk. If there is still a high level of parental pmv antibodies in the youngster when you jag it, the jag 'may' not take.

Done mine in November,I think I would wait till youngens are away.JMO

wont do them any harm at all .......  just catching them and disturbing them would be the down side
