WHAT IS BEING UPDATED?

 

We have released updates for all parts of UNIKON for 2010. This covers:

• Club Manager Software

• New Firmware for CHAMP and PROFI Clocks

• New Firmware for the UNIVERSAL CLUB SYSTEM

• New Firmware for the Grey Ring Marker (Mainly used in Scotland)

 

Updated manuals are available free from www.pigeon-ets.com and on the CD for £5 to cover handling.

 

WHY DO I NEED UPDATES?

Each country has slightly different needs worldwide and we believe in listening to our customers and where possible implementing suggestions. For 2010 this includes more functionally for adding and editing rings at home (Champ only) and the reintroduction of pooling for the Profi so that it is now the same as the Champ. Windows 7 was launched by Microsoft which required us to update the UNIKON manager software too… and all this is FREE to unikon customers.

 

WHAT HAS CHANGED

 

Club Manager 2010

• Support for Windows 7 (32bit and 64bit)

• Improvements have been made to the synchronisation process.

 

UNIKON Profi (v3.06)

• At the Club: New Club Registration Feature.

• At the Loft: New and improved pooling options.

 

Note: The pooling was removed in 2009 due to its limited suitability for practical use. Having in mind that it was developed back in 1994 and was never flexible enough to cater for UK pooling needs. For 2010 new pooling features have been added for Open, Section and Club pools as well as more pools groups. (Therefore making the pooling options the same as UNIKON Champ)

 

UNIKON Champ (200/500/PC500/PC500 TEXT) (v3.06)

• At the Club: New Club Registration Feature.

• At the Loft: Improvements to the way in which the Manual Adding and Editing of rings via the UNIKON Loft Clock is done at home

I,ve done all our club members clocks (x13 champ), with no obvious changes so far or any problems with the download, fingers crossed. Is this likely to be the last one for this year?

All Scottish Clubs using the UNIKON ANC RING MARKER (GREY RINGER) will have to have it updated.   Log into www.pigeon-ets.com and click on Unikon-downloads.   Scroll down to Unikon ANC System V.92 (UK & RO1) and follow the instructions.   This should be done between 9am and 5pm as you will need a club registration number from the office in Spalding.   Their 'phone number is 01775 717177

Didnt realise that there was another one oot, theres me thinking i was on the ball doing the last one thinking it was the last one, but not being the last one, talk about taking the p*ss, this is beyond a bloody joke, someone needs bloody shot. Yes listen to unikon users then deal with it ONCE A SEASON NOT AS MANY TIMES AS YOU SEE FIT. Unikon are not trying to tell me that they need to keep updating AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN, get it sorted NOW!!!!!!!!!! rant over. :-/

Just got the activation code to restart the club system, Unikon are now suggesting clubs take out an extended warranty on the eqipment over 1 year old in case anything goes wrong cost £65 a year.

Can this be down loaded directly onto the clubs laptop alone, or does the ring marker and club base station have to be attached when downloading? :-/

I know the Scottish system is slightly different than ours but I would imagine you would still have to have the base etc.set up when doing the updates,if you go to the site it will tell you exactly what to do.

As we are a North & South Club we were given two Club Masters (when we purchased 25 systems) so that we can mark both on the same night. I see they are talking of a fee for extra markers now.

What info do you need to get your verification code as I am at work during the times specified.

First you will need to download the update on to your Club Base. Once the download is complete you will then be presented with 6 digits in the display screen and asked to enter the Activation Code. You then need to contact Unikon who will ask for the number currently displayed on the screen for them to give you the correct Activation Code.

 

You will also be asked a serious of questions before they give you the activation code  :

Club Name

Who deals with the ETS system, Name & Address, Phone Number and E:Mail address

The last four digits from the serial number off the club base system as well as the last four digets from the UCS serial number.

How many members in the Club, How many have Unikon and is there any other ETS system used.

sorry for going off the original thread, But could someone answer. I have just ordered a Unikon ETS system the Gold package deal. will i get the software to download all the information to my own computer. this probably sounds a stupid question to most of you but i i know very little about it.
