WUL.D Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Wee update lads, training race went very well today with all three entrants home in good time finishing 24th, 176th, 394th Got a wee sniff of some pool money today winning 45 euro, my main pooler was pipped by one second for the 10 euro pool Happy with the progress of my three youngsters, results to date are: Training 01 231st / 1249th Training 02 434rd / 646th / 1223rd Training 03 128th / 884th / 1023rd Training 04 918th / 1082nd / 1249th Training 05 194th / 563rd / 987th Training 06 243rd / 856th / 951st Training 07 24th / 176th / 394th ... not sure what happened to one of my entrants from Training 01, thought he was lost... he appeared in the 'basket list' so i knew he definetly went, then he appeared on the next result... could only assume he missed the ets pad and wasnt clocked. Training Race 08 is on thursday, be about 40km

Guest frank dooman Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Wee update lads, training race went very well today with all three entrants home in good time finishing 24th, 176th, 394th Got a wee sniff of some pool money today winning 45 euro, my main pooler was pipped by one second for the 10 euro pool Happy with the progress of my three youngsters, results to date are: Training 01 231st / 1249th Training 02 434rd / 646th / 1223rd Training 03 128th / 884th / 1023rd Training 04 918th / 1082nd / 1249th Training 05 194th / 563rd / 987th Training 06 243rd / 856th / 951st Training 07 24th / 176th / 394th ... not sure what happened to one of my entrants from Training 01, thought he was lost... he appeared in the 'basket list' so i knew he definetly went, then he appeared on the next result... could only assume he missed the ets pad and wasnt clocked. Training Race 08 is on thursday, be about 40km wullie dont wory about that bird that was late the bird that won me the £25,379 in 2003 took 7hrs from wooler a 3hr race at worst if its not injured it will do it no harm they look as if the distance is what they need you just need them there for the finnal race thats what counts how are the returns ? how many did they start with and how many in the loft now all the best
WUL.D Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 frank started with three, still three there... all entrants seem fine, i think from first training race something went wrong but i initially thought he was lost... at first training race there was 1379 entries, yesterday there was 1313...so a wee handful have been lost but returns have been well over 90% each time just hope they battle it out when the trickier flights come around, just enjoying the whole fun of it just now thanks again lads...

WUL.D Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 didnt get a chance to update before i left for blackpool training race no.8 went well in the end although still 53 pigeons missing, seemingly the batch were hit by three falcons hence the scatter and some late times... somes birds were still returning on the fourth day. Winner timed at 2.27pm, my first bird was 20 minutes behind leaders, with my second bird only being one minute behind my first. had to wait till 5.27pm until the third arrived, but at least they all made it with 147 pigeons spending the night out. any one still interested in competing in this race, there could be some unactivated pigeons left availaible on 25th january
WulDon Posted January 19, 2010 Author Report Posted January 19, 2010 next training race now 25th january

WUL.D Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 9th training race today... around the 45km mark, lets hope no falcon interference today! there are still 45 pigeons unactivated and now up fro grabs at 120 euro each.
WUL.D Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 training race was brought back to Fasnia today 32km... prob due to the falcon attacks from last race. lib at 2.20pm, all home safe n sound once again 170th, 480th, 681st (2.47/2.48/2.49)
OLDYELLOW Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 theres still there to fight another day great to hear of your birds progress
jimmy white Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 well done 3 birds still there,, looks as if theve all come together,,, the positions are deceiving really,, but birds coming great,, heres hoping
WulDon Posted January 26, 2010 Author Report Posted January 26, 2010 ye birds could only be a few seconds apart but 100 positions behind... when they get a drop of say 300-400 birds there are obviously delays in trapping, this will sort itself out when we get to the longer races and they get some rumble ups! but good fun the now, glad to a see my entrants up there quite sharp again and not to far behind. next training race is on thursday, training video live now for all too view...
WUL.D Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 tenth training race today once again from Fasnia a distance of 30km, lib time approx 2.00pm
