Guest bakes Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 last few months or so we help out a younglad that comes round ours alot to see the birds after we got the approval by his mum we bought him a shed got some pipo boxs from local flyer and i bred him a round of ybs he had half my first round of ybs he just been round again in tears bloody pergrine hit his ybs takeing one a chequer he was fond off and its just took me a a good while to get the rest of the youngbirds in for him took him back round mine and talked to him as he was on about packing up when the misses walked out side and came back inside the house with a chequer she bred from her own birds parents to this bird is jan aardens i no how badly she wonted to breed from that pair as she was always fond from when i bought the parents for here as latebreds last year from local auction anyway she gave the younglad the youngster and offered him the nest mate to the younglad you could see the smile come back onto his face he said its ok i just be ok with what i got i walked him back home checked on his birds just as i was going to go out to get a paper i seen him coming threw my gate he said my mum said if the ybs are still aviable she will buy them for me i be happy with the young chequer the misses walked back into loft got the chequer put into box and handed the yb to young ryan and said keep the money in your pocket that will buy you a bag of corn she walked him back up to his house and his mum just been on the phone saying thanks ever so much my son is over the moon its just a shame he lost one to bloody pergrine im very happy with the way he is looking after the ones i bred him before and i ebjoy seeing them flying about when im out and about near his hope the yb the misses bred does well for the younglad as well as the ones i bred for him pic of the yb other day when misses put bird on landing board of stall trap to take pic

Guest bakes Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 well done Nikki & Klaus , a great gesture and youve set an example many should follow . again well done . andy. its a pleasure to help the younglad out andy hes a very keen younglad and all he talks about when i see him is have you seen the write up in bhw or rp or you got to see the new clip thats come up on you tube or he tell me about a tip he's picked up from video he seen over and over he dont no yet but we are paying for his raceing fees and everythink for next year he be round ours every race we send ours this oldbird and youngbird season what made me smile over day went round to see how he was getting on and his mum said he out with the birds went threw back gate and down garden and he had all his birds out on loft roof after coming back from exercise talking to his neighbour an old couple he was pointing to each bird saying thats a flor engel that ones an aarden the red chequers are matthuew/delbar/aardens and so on good to see him so interested in the sport. all the best.
kev01293 Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 well done to u and your misses for encouraging the young lad and giving him more yb,s especially at a time when he was upset after losing one he had taken a liking to he could easily have lost all interest after the peregrine attack but you encouraged him to carry on and all credit to you and your other half for doing that i hope he does well with his latest gifts from you again well done to you both kev

Guest bakes Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 thanks gareth but only repaying back all the help i had i no how hard it was for us to start up and for a younglad not knowing anyone would be even harder and i new how much he wonted to have his own birds as i could see that everytime he came round he didnt wont to leave the lofts and i give him a load of bhw or rp mags and with in a few days he be back round saying he read them have i got anymore so gave him my book i bought about long distance flying with in a few days he read that lent him dvds videos i bumpt into his mum when was in local shops she said as soon as he wakes up there on till he goes to bed over and over i then let him look after my birds getting them in and letting them out they went training gave him tin and stood back he got them in he done this for a while then my and the misses had a chat we both said we will ask his mum if its ok to put a shed up for him iver at his or i'll put one up at mine his mum said no problem so put shed up got equipment bred the ybs to start him off and to be onist the younglad hasnt looked back since bought him loft coat at blackpool for him while he's in his loft and far play to the lad he's trying his best he has well and trully been bitten by the bug if you see him around the birds how he holds them looks over them you would thought he had been round pigeons for alot more than he has the pictures montages i make i enjoy makeing mate nothink two small or big ive been very looky and im proud to be able to do pics of some outstounding birds from some top lofts in england & ireland i dont charge a penny as i enjoy doing editeing and something i enjoy doing for the flyers ive made some good friend threw doing pics of there birds all the best klaus nikki

Guest southern and mason Posted April 4, 2010 Report Posted April 4, 2010 i klaus m8 ya 1 ov the gud lads in the sport thers not many about wen a startd up a was only 16 and no1 offed is any ybs a had 2 go out and find sum and a bought them a end up bin runner up that year with the ybs and it was 6 pigeons a bought off a old bloke a end up takein 2nd 3rd and 4th out the yb national
