hawk falcons deterrents

which are u being pestered by sparrow hawk, goss hawk,peregrine etc etc not that there,s alot u can do they are a pain in the ass :( :( :( :(

i dont know why you are asking ,because im afraid to tell you that not one excist,s never mind what any one tells you ,if it did we would not have a problem because we would all be using it ,only one way to deal with them but it is ilegal ,,then isnt all the good things in life  ATB les.

eyes painted on the loft roof. ;)

the cd discs are supposed to look like eyes without painting them , however when they rotate / spin they reflect light which is also supposed to be a deterent

come on you lot should know better by now how many times are we going to try and kid our selves ,why keep on printing the same old crap .no offence but it gets up your nose after a while .

I think you should look back at previous posts on this subject. There is enough written to fill a book.

I am experimenting with laser light to deter the falcon. You can forget about the rest of the stuff, short of a shotgun nothing that I know of works. With sparrow hawks and goshawks you have a chance. Because they become fixated on their prey you can use it to your advantage and catch them. Sparrowhawk nests are easy to find. A bunch of sticks like a magpie's but built near the tree about 8 to 10 foot up. They will lead you it if you watch the male displaying he will circle roughly above it. It will be in a group of trees or large bushes.

I don't know what you would do if you found one but they can be found with a little effort.

That is 100% right .... and regardless of what told / help given, the same ole saga comes up.... and still 99% it would appear do nowt .... till asking the same question!
