Yes leave on over night of course.- No need to greas with oily fish oil at night to attract... they will put their nose on it any way .... just the once lol. And is legal. Don't go for the 9 volt battery 'Garden Centre' ones... the time you need it the battery will be flat. Glad you're sorted Frank.
Guest frank dooman Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 yes roly its great i cant leave it on 24/7 my garden backs on to a school so iam on a timmer and off the fence but round the loft sometimes takes a wee bit longer to get the real shock but i think its working a treat

Guest 67ghirl Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 yea i like the sound of that i hope know cat lovers here lol Just so you know - there are many Cat lovers here > Many of whom who are able to have dogs, cats AND pigeons live alongside each other! You get upset when a Cat does something Natural to your Pigeons yet you are prepared to illegally deal with someone elses pet - just remember many young children have cats as pets and are devastated when they 'disappear'. There are many ways of dealing with the problem - Legally! I can't believe how often this subject crops up and how many people still contribute with their ignorant comments.
Guest frank dooman Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 how do you deal with it legaly? the problem only comes up when iresponsible owners just through them out at night the noise and damage they cause is wrong and i will protect my birds when required
blaz Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 i have 3 cats as anyone who has been hear can tell you also 2 dogs. any cat that comes near the territory of my cats face a fight. my cats also have 2 bull terriers as back up .all 5 dont bother the pigeons . plus any vermin the cats deal with
PATTY BHOY Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 every night i hear this particular cat battling with everything and all thing, sounds like a baby crying at times

We have had birds killed by neighbours little dogs do you suggest I 'get rid of them'???

THE FIFER Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 please keep to legal ways regarding keeping cats away, other methods are not to be posted on site, there are plenty legal and harmless ways to keep cats away,
Guest frank dooman Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 If you read the posts there are many repellent suggestions. We have had birds killed by neighbours little dogs do you suggest I 'get rid of them'??? how you protect your birds is up to you but i will not allow anything to harm my birds iam sory if you dont aggree if my dogs harmed your birds or anything concerned with you you would not have to do anything i would, but dogs are different you can complain about dogs there are rules they need to abide by but none for cats is that fair??
blaz Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 i trained my cat not to go for birds with water.kitten looks intrested in birds water over it .it soon learns not to go near the birds . cat at your loft more chance of it not coming back with water thrown at it than stones.
Guest anto Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 around were i live there every were most are stray cats there breading like rats fighting all night sleeping on your car scraching it to bits its ive rang the rspca their a joke havent even come out to look at the problem iam not going to stand by and let them feed on my birds and destroy my property
