COLIN BOWLER MEMORIAL CANCER FUND YOUNG BIRDS SALE 1 LIST.

 

THIS SALE WILL CLOSE AT 9.00 PM PROMPT ON SATURDAY 27TH FEBRUARY.

 

THERE WILL BE A 5 MIN RULE BID RULE ON ANY LOT AT 8.59pm. ALL LOTS WHERE THIS APPLIES WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL 9.04pm AND SO ON UNTIL THE 5 MINUTE PERIOD EXPIRES. ALL LOTS WHERE THE 5 MINUTE RULE DID NOT APPLY WILL BE CLOSED AT 9pm PROMPT.

 

ALL OPENING BIDS START AT £30 UNLESS STATED, WITH A MINIMUM OF £5 BID INCREMENTS.

 

BIDS WILL BE TAKEN BY PM TO MICK BOWLER OR PJC UP TO AN HOUR BEFORE THE CLOSE OF EACH AUCTION, THERE AFTER ALL BIDS WILL NEED TO BE IN THE RELEVANT THREAD.

 

ANY POSTS THAT ARE EDITED WILL BE NOT BE ACCEPTED.

SALE 1 LIST

 

Lot1: Wall, Lunt and Green. 1 x 2010 YB. What a fabulous way to start the sale, no introductions needed for this top racing and breeding partnership. They win big and have bred birds for many other fanciers that have won big. On offer we have a 2010 YB specially selected by Les, and will be ready end of May. The Sire to this pigeon is "Minstrel", a super young pigeon, he is a full brother to Merlin and Blain, being from the super pair of Direct Verkerk breeders Alexander and Princess. The dam of this lot is the super breeding hen "Prima Donna", she is the mother of 1st open amal 3007 b, 1st combine 3805 b, 1st combine 5999b, her mother is La Prima Vera, the super racing hen and her father is a Koopman and a top breeder for Cess Van De Pol. Top breeding here, one for the stock loft. Same way bred as this sold for £680 in WLG's sale in Blackpool 2010!

 

Lot 2: Darren Peters and sons. 1x 2010 YB. Darren needs no introduction, a top flyer in the UK with more to come and already a winner of 1st open MNFC as well as top fed and gold ring race and one loft race results. Also breeding winners for lots of other fanciers.

 

Lot 3: F & A Tasker, 2 x 2010 YBs. Absolutely no introductions needed here, a household name in the world wide pigeon fancy. Frank says he will provide the lucky purchaser with something special. Frank also generously donated a 2009 YB for a previous sale.

 

Lot 4: Armstrong & Wheatley.  2 x 2010 YBs. A partnership on top of their game with a lot more to come.. Only formed 2 or 3 years ago they have already won 1st Open MNFC Bergerac 2009, 1st Open MNFC treble chance Lessay 2009, and the MNFC old bird average winners 2009.

 

Lot 5: D & D McFaddan, 1 x 2010 YB from the stock loft. A top national winning partnership, especially at the middle/long distance. Some top performances in last couple of years.

 

Lot 6: Albert Tarleton. 1 x 2010 YB. A YB from a  legend in the racing pigeon world, a top flyer for many years, having recently flown in partnership as Tarleton & Ferguson. Albert will be pairing February and YB will be from the lines of his old Janssens, Koopman, Van Dyke, and Marijke Vink families.

 

Lot 7: R & B. Smith, Warrington. 1 x 2010 YB.Top northwest partnership with top club, Fed, Amal, Combine and national results.

 

Lot 8: Mr & Mrs C Little, Eastriggs.. 1 x 2010 YB. Treble Scottish National winners, 1st Open SNFC Newbury, 1st Open SNFC Falaise, 1st Open SNRPC Cholet Plus many other top national prizes and section wins. Sure to be a top YB.

 

Lot 9: A & K Davies, Porth, Rhondda. 1 x 2010 YB, will be ready in May, Janssen/Van Loon Sire:-The Fed Cock, 4x1st club, 1st, 3rd, 10th & 28th Fed open. Dam:-Blue Diamond 3x2nd club as a young bird, Full sister to Golden Boy 10x1st inc2x1st fed open, 1st Section National, 1st Section Combine. This pair of pigeons were responsible for winners in 2009 inc 9th National Folkestone. A few of our National and Federation Performances:1x1st, 9x2nd, 3x3rd Welsh Grand National Flying Club and Welsh South East National Flying Club. We have also won National and Combine averages. We have been federation champions on 5 occasions, runners up 4 times and 3rd twice, with up to 18,000 birds competing. We have also been federation section champions on 7 occasions with up to 5500 birds competing (over 70x1st at fed level). All above performances are from 60 to 597miles inclusive. At the present time we are racing with the Rhondda Valley Federation, the WSENFC and WSE Combine. In 2009, we were club champions in Penygraig and Ynyshir HS, 3rd overall Rhondda Valley Federation. 2nd National Folkstone, 2nd National Lillers and 1st combine Lillers. £50 OPENING BID.

 

Lot 10: Mark and Andy Darby, Walsall.1 x 2010 YB, may be ready Feb (possibly, we have to pair when suits because of work etc) Top midlands flyers, great results in the Superclub, and gold ring races. It will be a very well bred youngster out of pigeons from the best lofts in Europe Janssen, Joop Koch, Verstaete, MarijkeVink, Syndicate, Ad Schaerlackens, etc etc.

 

Lot 11: Fishlock Bros, 2 x 2010 YBs. Famous for Westra Kadet, Mike has offered two YBs from the stock loft.

 

Lot 12: Mark Bulled, Harlow. 1 x 2010 YB. This lot will be from Marks 2nd round from the stock loft, being from his Soontjen based family.

 

Lot 13: Brian Holland, Keighley. 2 x 2010 YBs from a choice of Brian’s long and middle distance families. Brian says the buyer can basically have what they want, top offer!

 

Lot 14: R & M Grayston. 2 x 2010 YBs. Richard has had some outstanding NFC performances in recent years, including 2 x 1st section L NFC and 1st sect L,  51st Open NFC Saintes 2009 flying 585 miles on the day. Again buyers choice.

 

Lot 15: Pat McClaughlin, Derry (Paddymac) 2 x 2010 YBs. Bred from a dtr of Kardale Style x  J.Ellis (Wellbank) lines or from Kirkpatrick, Delbar, Harper, Kenyon and Jan Arden lines if preferred. Tough birds on offer here, flying into one of the worse locations in the UK isles.

 

Lot 16: J,J & C Nicol, Stevenston, Ayrshire. 2 x 2010 YBs. These lads win from 150-500 miles every season in the last 10 years or so, also taking the longest four races at Club level in 2009. Birds kept are Crehan & O'Connor, Wall, Lunt & Green, Vandenabeele, Janssen and the distance are from John Traill, Jock King, Chris Gordon, Carlin Bros and Dale Newcombe.  

 

Lot 17: Mr & Mrs T.McCarthy, Tilbury, 2 x 2010 YBs. Terry, top flyer winner of 100’s of 1sts in just a few years. Youngbirds will be from his Silver Shadow birds that have raced well for himself and others.

 

Lot 18: Mark Vinnicombe 2 x 2010 YBs. A great couple of YBs on offer here, being from Mark’s super Verkerk family. The sire to these YBs is a full brother to C.Lycett & Sons “Houdiniâ€, a West Midlands RPRA sprint award winner (2nd UK sprint award), being a son of  Gladiator and Sweetheart, both Direct Verkerks. Sweetheart is the nest sister of Princess, the hen of the Merlin pair of WLG, the mother of Blain etc. Dam of the YB’s is bred from Dreamboy (Direct Verkerk) and the nest sister of Houdini. The parents to this lot are sire and dam of prizewinners from their very first nest.

 

 

Lot 19: Bamling and Earl 2 x 2010 YBs. Top racing partnership who had a great 2009 season, including winning

1st Durham Combine Folkestone Classic 2009 -- 272 miles.

Best 2 Bird performance in Combine,

Best Loft in Federation from Old & Young Bird Natonals

1st & 2nd Federation & 1st & 2nd DC Sect - 4227 birds 2009 -- 139 miles

3 x 1st Federation Wnrs Bred from this loft in 2009 for other Lofts

along with winners for many other fanciers. ~ 2 x Young Birds from the Top Breeders in Stock Lofts

 

 

Lot 20: B.Williams & son (chichichi) 2 x 2010 YBs. April bred. Top Swansea father and son partnership, breeder’s of many winners for other fanciers. Ant has promised us something special, and will probably be from their super Van Reet family.

 

Lot 21: Trevor Hazel, Isle of Wight, 2 x 2010 YBs. These will be from Trevor’s Eric Cannon distance lines

 

Lot 22:Tony Austin, Tipperary, Ireland. 2 x 2010 YBs. UPDATED INFO: Tony has offered 2 youngbirds from his Darren Peter's pigeons. These were purchased from what Darren described as the best he had, from stock and the race team, including his fabulous blacks. Its possible these YBs could be the much sought after blacks, also being from the best lines around!

 

Lot 23: Chris Maidment. 4 x 2010 YBs. Chris has generously offered the buyer a choice of his Dhondts (sprint), Staf Van Reets (Middle) and Spangles (Distance) families

 

Lot 24: D.Hewitt (Grasshopper) 2 x 2010 YBs. Peter Van De Merwe Lines. Yung bird will be bred from the best of Nick Adsead birds, and having these lines myself know they are class birds. I have copies of peds if anyone would like to see how well bred this YB will be. Lack of space prevents me putting them on here.

 

Lot 25: J & PJ Gladwin 1 x 2010 YB, later bred. Top Essex National winning partnership.

 

Lot 26: Formula 1 lofts, 1 x 2010 YB, June bred and will be from John’s Vandenabeele, Caudwell Van Reet or Ron Williamson’s families. This loft has bred ton’s of winners for other fanciers in last couple of years as well as being a top racing loft in their own right.

 

Lot 27: Alan Torrance (Alf) 2 x 2010 YBs. UPDATED  INFO. Update from Alf: Stock consists of sons and daughters of birds that have topped the fed 6 times and 8 times and that have won a lot of races aswell. Two of these out the 3 bred me winners the 1st time of asking that's why i put forward to help your sale. I also have 2 hens bred by John Crehan from Manchester and 1 was 2nd club 7th open in our 1st y/b race nearly 7'000 pigeons and the other bird won the 4th y/b race that year mate but the hen that was 7th open in the fed bred a winner in her 1st nest and he won over £150 pool money in the 1st 5 old bird races this year and the other hen bred a 3rd section from 120 mls with over 2'000 pigeons at the race. Alf is offering 2 YBs, buyers pick from the above, great offer!

 

Lot 28: Bob Nicholls (Lenwadebob) 2 x 2010 YBs. Pair of Busschaerts of John Crowder Lines.

 

Lot 29: L & S O’Neill, Larne. 2 x 2010 YBs. UPDATED INFO: Buyer will have a choice from a few families. Some koopmans or hartogs. One will be from the sire of a 16th open and a hen that was 2nd sec and was dam of 7th sec roscarberry his year, these are Koopmans

 

Lot 30: A.Shepherd & Son (Rasbull) 2 x 2010 Ybs. Richard says: Hi Mick, I will give 2 off my No.1 Hen, 'Rasbull Trish' - Cheq H - 24th Open Europa Classic 2009, 250 miles, 754 birds. 4th Hotspot Europa Classic 2009, 60 miles, 1104 birds. 15th Hotspot Europa Classic 2009, 160 miles, 815 birds. 39th Hotspot Europa Classic 2009, 100 miles, 1020 birds. Finshed 9th Ace Bird Overall, nest mate was 29th Open, 17th Ace Bird.

 

Lot 31: K.Finley (Mackems) 2 x 2010 YBs. Bred from the stock loft, distance birds

 

Lot 32: Maverick 2 x 2010 Ybs

 

Lot 33: Llcoolj  2 x 2010 YBs

 

Lot 34: Craig 05 2 x 2010 Ybs.

 

Lot 35: Grizzler 2 pairs of Flying rollers

 

Lot 36: Demolition man 2 x 2010 YBs, Busschaerts.

Lot 39: Cowboy (Malcolm) 2 x 2010 Ybs, Ready in a bout a month and will be either Pure Kirkpatricks or Westcotts. Malcolms kirkpatricks are from Spencroft lofts, Williamson Bros of plymouth and Record lofts (John Crowder) of stallingborough.

 

Lot 40: Gladdo (Mikey) 2 x 2010 YBs 2 x youngsters out of edwin hoogland stock ... edwin is a dutch ace flier ... his birds are top class and anyone that attended the auction will second that ... his results speak for himself ... the dam of the cock i have has won 1st 13,500 birds (miss arras) top class youngsters

I keep watching these auctions for some white birds, Logans, Delbars Ect,

 

Would love to have a bid please, :)

 

I'll add a pair of Delbars on to sale 2 for you, can't be 100% but every youngbird they bred last year was pure white.
